Turn key to the on position and the check engine light appears when you just touch the gas pedal without raising the idle. When you start the motor at idle it does the same thing.
I found a list that might apply. Not specific to Polaris, but general for electrical. Code 021 reads accelerator fault safety lock out inspect accelerator resistance and wiring

follow ur throttle cable down to cars there should be a plastic screw close to cable to adjust idea but with polaris that screw can be hard to find with all the plasticc they put in way but if u can see carbs easy enough u will see the idle screw
