Thermostat Totaline P7470100

The thermostat still works. What happened is during the past couple of years, there has been something black inside the display growing from top gradually to the bottom. When the display light is on, this black thing covers the readings. Is this mold? Is there a way to fix? If not, can you recommend a similar thermostat that can replace this one? This model is no longer available and there are too many new thermostats on the market, I don't know which one is compatible with my system. Thank you very much!

It's probably the liquid crystal has a crack and is flowing inside the glass. It can only be repaired with a new display.

Why is my totaline thermostat flashing fd and not working

Factory Default. Your thermostat is halfway through the factory reset procedure for some reason. Check out the cheat sheet here:
http://www.totaline.com/dl/stat_setup_cheat_sheet.pdf
DON'T FORGET TO REPROGRAM YOUR THERMOSTAT SO IT WILL ACT THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO AFTER IT IS RESET!

If you don't know how to, just look at the cheat sheet cited above or find the model number (inside the case) and search google for an operation guide.

I tried to turn on my air coditioning today for the first time this year and my Totaline Themostat P474-1050 won't turn on. Worked fine during the winter and last summer.

the thermostat is powered by the unit or batteries if batteries they may be dead if the unit you need to check fuses outside at unit or reset breaker outside depending on age of installation

I have a Totaline thermostat for my upstairs and downstairs. I have the thermostat in the OFF position but it keeps kicking the fan on. The green LED light is not lit up showing me that it is even on. What...

First make sure the thermostat fan switch is on "auto" and not set to "on". Also some thermostats have the ability to run the fan intermittently for air circulation in the house using the FAU filter to keep the inside air clean. So check your manual for the thermostat and see if it has this capability & how to turn it off if it does. Otherwise it could be a malfunctioning thermostat or FAU.
