Open a command prompt ( Windows key + R to open Run box, then cmd), and type
ipconfig /all
and look for the wifi adapter. The entry labelled "Physical Address" is the MAC address. It will look something like 84-3A-4B-C8-E9-B7
(Your router might want it entered in the format 84:3A:4B:C8:E9:B7)

I want to start inter net from my laptop what to do

Hello Punitrava, Hi, you can connect to the internet several ways, here are the common ones. 1. Via a free WIFI hotspot, find a WIFI area like in malls or coffee shops and enable you WIFI connection on your laptop. after enable the laptop detects the wireless connection and simply connect. 2. Via a USB modem, inquire about this on your wireless telephone company. 3. Via the Local Area Network like computer shops, insert any available LAN cable on your LAN connection, you need to consult the LAN administrator. 5. Via a DSL connection, just plug in the LAN cable from a DSL to your laptop. you need a DSL/internet account from your telephone company.

I've got a Toshiba laptop. I connect to the Internet with several different browsers and have no trouble cruizin the net for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. After a time, however, I can no longer go to...

If you are connecting thru a ethernet cable then your ethernet is not working properly. While if you are connecting thru WiFi then the WiFi is not working properly. A cheaper option to get over this WIFi problem would be to use a WiFi dongle on the laptop rather then get the WIFi repaired which would be very expensive.

I can not get on line

When you plug in the network cable, ensure it is plugged in correctly to the network card and into one of the router's ports at the other end. The LINK light should light up at either end (computer end and a tthe router) and flash when data is being sent or received. Then on your computer, (for Win2000/XP) go t Start, Settings, Network connections, "Local Area connection" for your card, then click on "Properties" then scroll and double click ''internet protocol' then select obtain ip address automatically. this will assign your computer with an ip address given from the adsl modem. all other settings will then assign automatically as well which should give you access to the internet thereafter. What you could also try is from one of your working wireless computers / laptop, see what IP address and gateway addresses have been assigned by the DHCP host (automatic IP address assigner), to helpyou work out where the address is coming from, it should be coming from the adsl modem. check your address by going to Start, settings, network connections, local area connection, then click on the support tab.
