All you need to do is to type in model of your DVD or Blu Ray player and then search for the hack exclusively for your model.
Or you can just get a region free Blu-ray player software for free to play all your region locked Blu-ray and dvd, such as Leawo Blu-ray Player.

In most cases, the issue might be with

If the issue persists
after installing the firmware update, the would have been with the disc. Check
the disc with another player, try different discs with same player.
