The tv keeps turning off by istself

You may want to try upgrading the firmware. My Philips plasma set did the same thing and a firmware upgrade fixed it. The procedure is simple enough, just copy some files onto a USB drive and let the TV update itself. The release notes give detailed instructions. I couldn't find your exact model number on the Philips site, you'll want to get the correct firmware for your set.

Its a philips lcd. The menu pops up every few moments. What should i do?

Your Philips TV may have upgradeable software for the TV to fix the problem. Go to the Philips web site, procedures on upgrading software should all be there. The only thing you need is a USB memory stick for the part of the procedure.

Firmare - how long

The "Firmware Upgrading" should only show for about 60 seconds.

You could try removing the battery and restarting.

If this doesn't work try repairing again.
