Question about Electrolux Washing Machines
We checked and we have power until the flat wire inside. When we unplug the flat wire and put it back into the CN1 space the lights lid up for a second but stop immediately. We cannot figure out why cause nothing seems burned or broken. Thanks for your help
SOURCE: lid locked no power
use a screwdriver in the crevice beneath the lid. Approx 4 inches from each side you will see a 1" silver piece of metal, push the tab towards the back of the machine. Once you get one side loose place something such as a screwdriver to keep it unlatched until you get the other side loose. The top should come open. And there is also a service book inside your washing machine, I fixed mine myself. Look at my other postings. Good luck!!

SOURCE: Maytag washer just died on me
the reset button is usually built into a switch that resets automatically when the lid is opened and tub recentered, you rmodel doesnt show one, but there is a mention of a 10 amp fuse( if so equipped) on the wire diagram. shows it connected right to the L1 wire(line 1) trace the linecord in and see if it gets you to a fuse. possible a bad lid switch and/ or plunger for the switch, not making contact when door is closed

SOURCE: kenmore ultra fabric care I washer; 80 series- lid switch needs replaced
This is a very easy problem that you can repair yourself. The following link explains in detail how to replace a lid switch such as yours:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch
A replacement switch can be purchased on line at any of the following sources:
searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com
All three sites offer great service and have competitive pricing. So, shop all three for the best price. Just use your COMPLETE model number (usually located under the washer lid along the tub rim) to begin your search criteria. If you do not wish to order on line, use the part number provided by the Sears website and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. Yes, this a part that they should carry in their inventory.
If you have questions, or need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Hello Everyone, I have a Roper
Hello,
that sounds like you have done all you can and i appriciate a well written question stating exactly what you have already done(some times questions here is "it dont work") so then back to your washer. There are 2 more possiblities
1) the motor capiciator is bad and not giving the motor a bump in power to start it. To check that, its black and round and going to be on inside right side of back panel. To check it use a meter set to HIGH ohms rating.place one meter lead on each of the 2 terminals (each terminal may have 2 wires but only 2 two terminals) and the needle should swing up and drop back if cap. is good and the needle will stay at or near zero if cap. bad. If using digital meter the numbers will constiantly be in motion jumping from 10 thousand to 200 back to 5 thou. and so forth if cap is good and again the display will stay the same and never change if capiciator is bad
If capiciator checks good the motor is going to be the problem
Good luck,i have i have been able to help you fix your washer,
Gene

There are a few things to check that would cause the empty light to go on and the mist to stop.
Rinse the lid on the bottom of the blue tank. After you rinse it with warm water, dry it and then push the spring on the outside of the lid, it should move easily. Check the inside of the lid and make sure the rubber gasket is securely in place.
Remove the spray guide, and on the base of the humidifier to the side of the ultra sonic disk is a small white plastic pole with a washer-ring around it. This is the float, make sure it moves easily up and down the pole. Use white vinegar on a cloth or paper towel and wipe the pole down.
Reassemble the humidifier, use room temperature water in the tank, set to warm mist and let run for 30-40 minutes. Please make sure the humidifier is on a flat level surface, no carpeting or towel underneath.
