The horspower rating does not indicate cooling area, this is usually done in BTU's and therms and tons. What is the rating for these on your air conditioner.

If the number you say is the model number, it appears to be a 10,000 BTU.Check on the sides of the unit, or inside where the air comes out, and it should give the numbers.It should say 5000 to1800 BTU, if it is a 110 volt unit. BTU is what you are looking for if you want the output, not HP.
