Take it to your local Hoover warranty station. You have a one year warranty. These new machines are giving some trouble.

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Yes you can order a brush block. It comes complete it is around $35. You can buy or order them at any vac shop or call me at my shop and I can ship them out.

Once you remove them, they will leak. To flush them, just put plain water into the tank and run it through.

I have the same series - The steamvac deluxe 1500 has two containers, one that is on top is for putting the cleaning solution/water in and the bottom container pulls up the residue/dirt. The top container has a nozzle that you twist out, you put the water in until it reaches the line which is 3/4's up the way. You then measure the nozzle (it has two lines) and put the cleaning solution in there and then into the water.

The solution will not dispense from the machine but will still dispense from the hose.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover F5866-900 SteamVac Deluxe Wet/Dry. You probably have 2 problems, #1. The trigger assm may be loose or broken and is not releasing the solution from the water solution tank or #2. The valve under the water solution tank could be shot or broken. If so, then the water solution tank is one assm and you would need to purchase a new or a good used one to replace. Please, feel free to check with your local vac dealer in your area.
