You ever get a solution to this, mate?

I have the same freaki'n issue with mine all of a sudden. Suspect the power supply's not delivering enough power to rotate the spindle-motor anymore, cause if I take this motor out and connect it to a 1.5V battery, it runs...

let me know if you've found the solution please on: tobie dot steyn at gmail dot com.

SOURCE: Disc stuck in cd player

Easy, turn off the power, remove the lid by unsrewing all the screws on the side, back and top of the lid. When removed you should see the CD jammed somewhere at the rear of the disk carrier. be very carefull and slowly remove it. The disk may be already scratched but if you're carefull you can stop further damage. Also don't force any part of the tray they are only plastic. If you can't get the disk out things start to get awkward. Write backmor take the unit with the lid off to a repair shop it shouldn't take them long to get it out.

I have a technics 60+1cd player and a CD got stuck in the slot I did get it out but now it just keeps saying take out.How would I fix this please help.

There was clearly something wrong with the tray mechanism and even though you have removed the disc, sensors on the tray are stuck in the disc in mode. This will require some examination of the tray mechanism to determine the damage to it and what needs to be done to fix it.

Cd tray closes quickly without pressing switch on Technics SL-pd688

There is a small switch under the tray that stops the motor at the end of it's travel, also one when the tray goes back in.
These can have wires broke off or can be stuck or open circuit

I burned a CD on my PC to keep in my car and it plays OK in the car and on my PC, but does not play on my Technics SL-PD687 5 disc cd player. It's recorded in *.cda format and it's on a CD-RW. Any...

The problem with old CD Players are that they sometimes are a little fidgety when it comes to reading CDRs.

You could try burning a new CD on the lowest possible setting, say 2x or 4x.

Also try changing the CDR brand as some cheap CDRs are prone to not reading in old CD Drives.

Try using a regular CD-R (CD recordable - record only once) instead of a CD-RW (CD rewritable - rewrite multiple times). CD-RW use a different "ink" to write the data to the disc and can be re-recorded/erased a couple of times before it loses its ability to write effectively to it.

Cd tray opening and closing all the time

Dear friend, my sony dvd drive tray opens and closes itself, it is mostly a problem related to hardware. in my case I removed the IDE Data cable connected to the dvd drive and reconnected it again. now my dvd drive works well, I think the problem was the IDE data cable, may be a loose contact.due to this loose cantact,a jung signal goes to the dvd drive, which opens and closes the tray frequently without our knowledge.

Open, closes and rotates the cd compartment, endless...

If there's a disk left over inside, It's stuck in the drive hanger, and should be removed else the changer can't put it back in it's right slot. Open the machine and check for any CD's still inside.

If not, could be that the small sensore (to the left of the head assembly (just before the drve (upside down)) is dirty or messed up.

Try cleaning if.
