Radio wont come on it said to punch in code did that and still didnt work what can i do?

thats the code u manually punch in the radio number buttons to renergize the radio an take it out of lockup mode. wont play in this mode. any time the battery is disconnected on the vehicle this code will need entered in radio to make it work again. your owners manual should have code in it or written on a card. this is if ur radio is stolen it cant be used till the RADIO CODE is entered.

After 3 tries, it wont even accept the code on the radio display, showing the ERR condition. Disconnect the battery for 15 min. This will erase the ERR condition, and allow you to introduce the reactivation code.

your going to have to pull radio out and write serail # down and then call dealer or they may make you come down and prove owner ship, then they can give you the code,

Remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

It normally begins with M ++++++

on my verona the security code is located on the back of the radio. you have to pull it out and get the # then punch it in.

Put in your radio code as once the battery feed has gone its like someone is trying to pintch it and wont woek so get the code and punch it in and your be ok.

they should have a master code to unlock it i would go to a differ volvo place it doesnt sound like they can get the job done lol but yeah most all radios for certain cars have a master code that works for all they wont give it to you but they should be able to punch it in for you

well the easist way to get this problem fixed is call the dealership parts department they can tell you what you can do to resolve it. And if your really daring they will fix it right on the service drive because they want your patronage they should do it for free

you need to leave key on for 30 minutes and it will go back to loc and let you input code

The easiest thing to do would be to go online and order an aftermarket stereo. You can find them super cheap. I have seen some cd players for about $30.
