Buttons do not work

Remove the batteries and any screws you may find there and anywhere else on the case. The front and back halves of the case will have clips holding them together that can be released by inserting a thin tool into the seam separating the case halves, pushing in and prying apart as you work your way around the case. Once the case separates, lay the remote face down on a flat surface so that any individual buttons will not fall out. Remove any screws that may be holding the circuit board and remove it. The contact surface of the rubber buttons is coated with a conductive surface and can be cleaned with alcohol or contact cleaner. The contact area of the circuit board can be cleaned in the same manner or rubbed with a pencil eraser. Reassemble and give it a try before you snap the case together. If all else fails I've had success cutting small pieces of aluminum foil and gluing it to the contact area of the rubber buttons.

I took out the inner workings of the bobbin holder underneath the machine to try to clean out some clogged up thread, but I can't seem to get it back together. Suggestions?

You should have 3 pieces that make up the parts of the hook and bobbin case that you can take out to clean. 1 the bobbin case, 2 the race ring, 3 the hook. The easiest way to reinstall the hook and race ring is to tilt the machine and lay it on it's back. If you have the bobbin door open, and you rotate the handwheel and look inside the hook area, you will see the driver rotating back and forth. You want to set the hook inside the hook housing facing opposite the driver. As if your putting two halves together. Next install the race ring, shinny side out. Most of the rings have a nipple at the bottom that fits into a slot in the hook housing. Next lock the race ring in place with the 2 black or chrome arms that you swing inward. All you do next is install the bobbin case. Your done.

Im putting the left back shoes on and i dont know how the springs go back together could sumone tell me

Easiest would be to look at the right side wheel (assuming it's not been dismantled as yet) Take note of which spring goes where but also in which direction. ie if the long end of the spring is pointing to the front of the car on the RH side, then the same spring on the LH side of the car should also be pointing forward. The trick to shoe assembly is to put the springs on before you fit the shoes to the housing. Fit the first shoe to the parking brake cable, then fit it to the housing. Now attach the springs to the fitted shoe. Last connect the other shoe to the springs and pull the shoe into its seat.

Powerbase model no 830806 9'' angle grinder the switch has broken -hardly used can I get a spare switch or is it worth repairing

The switch can be repaired if you have the patience. There are four springs inside and some contacts, which should be cleaned. The small springs are place under the contacts and the large springs fit on the end of the metal blade that is attached to the switch button, and the other end of each spring fits on a plastic spigot on the inside of the smaller switch housing. The switch is best assembled on the trigger and the outer housing placed over it once everything is in place.
Like I said earlier, patience is the key!

Excessive leaking

This is a condensation drain, The pipes were probably just pressed together. it is actually a T fitting . The tubes just need to be fitted together and pushed together. the lower pipe drains to the outside of the house and the one pointing up is just a vent so the water won't back up and a way to flush the lower pipe. Nothing serious, good luck

I had the same problem with two remotes. Replacements are either hard to find or very expensive, so with nothing to lose I opened it up. There's a circuit board inside, and the rubber buttons are all connected together in one grid or mat. Each button has a corresponding copper square on the circuit board. I immediately saw that the square for the light dimmer button had a dark smudge, presumably from the rubber button.

The smudge was easily cleaned with a q-tip and denatured alcohol. Put it back together, and the button works!

Note, there are two screws that hold the remote housing together, but just one was visible on my unit. The other is below the sticker (with the FCC info). I was able to access the screw by simply pressing the screwdriver through the sticker.
