SOURCE: I have a Stihl saw. It does not cut like it
Have you tried it with a different bar? I suspect you if you rotate the bar it will cut better from the top down and need to be tipped to cut upward. An inspection of you bar will probably reveal a wire edge. My Pioneer started cutting in an arch. I found the upper rear and lower front bar developed a wire edge (I regularly rotate my bar). I used a a file at 45° to the groove, removed just enough metal to see where the file had been returned my 20" bar to proper service. I think something similar occurred on your bar. HTH

SOURCE: stihl strimmer engine runs but wont cut grass
First take the head off and look for grass, weeds and string wound up in there. A lot of times that's the problem.
Next, with the head off and the switch in the off position, pull it over a few times and see if the shaft spins. If not, could be a broken shaft or a bad clutch.

SOURCE: 034av stihl chainsaw, after making
I believe you have a clogged or pinched fuel line or a clogged fuel filter.
