Your only option is to enter the serial numbers one at a time. Some bikes have a serial number and a separate date code, but there's no way to know which was used by the person reporting the theft. You can also try Bikepedia.com, which goes by brand and model as well.

F2P7D1359 is the serial number of my haro bike , id like to know what kind it is and maybe a average price range?

You already posted what kind it is in the previous question - "Haro bicycle F2 freestyle series." An average is a single number, a range is two numbers, so there's no such thing as an average range. Nobody here can give you info based on a serial number. I already gave you a way to research what year you have, but year is not terribly important for value. You can also try this site to look at specs for different years of the F2 in order to determine what year yours is: http://knowyourbike.com/haro/f2
Price depends on mechanical and physical condition, the size of your city/town, and the desirability of the particular bike, thus can vary by a huge amount, so an average price is useless. Research, decide on a price, advertise on Craigslist or bulletin boards, and if nobody bites then the price is too high.

What does Firestone B056 bicycle serial number mean

A number that short is more likely a date code than a serial number, but you are going to have to find a site that deals with Firestone bikes to have a shot at ID'ing the bike. Alternatively, Google Firestone bicycle and look at images in the results. Find any that look like yours and click on the Web Page link to find out year, approx. value, etc. Note that Firestone was never a bike manufacturer, so the bikes so labeled were made by various manufacturers over the years, and each had a different serial number scheme.

How and what site would u use to check a bike serial number to see whether it is stolen or not ?

There is no single "good site." Google search stolen bike and you will find numerous sites. No way to predict if the owner of a bike will report the theft or which site they will pick. That being said, here's one specific one to try: BikePedia

SL040733 is the serial number. How do i know what year it is?

if you find a shop selling them they should know the year by the serial number or the paint job on the bike, they even might have a catalogue with your bike pictured.

check with your local Police or Fire department. There isn't a national bicycle serial number registry. Only if the previous owner actually registered it with the local Police or Fire dept will there be a way to check if it is stolen. Police regularly have auctions of lots of bicycles that have been recovered but have gone unclaimed because the owners never registered them.

Where do I find the serial number

TREK bicycles have the serial number on the underside of the down tube near the crankset. Flip your bike so that the wheels are up and look at the tube near the pedals (on the tube that runs towards the handlebars).

Many TREK manuals are available here: http://www.bike-manual.com/brands/trek/om/welcome/index.htm. You can find a good picture of the parts of the bicycle and their names in the manual.

Some other brands of bicycles have their serial numbers on the seat tube near the crankset.

I hope this helps.

Bmx serial numbers...... How do I find out if the bike I just bought for 40 bucks is stolen?

Usually there will be a bike shop sticker on it, if so, call them and they can tell you who owns the bike by the serial number. No sticker, check the phone book and find out what shops sell that brand. (At least, that is how we do it, we save every serial number for our customers and sometimes we know the bike was stolen before our customer because the police call us). If there is no sticker, call the police dept and ask if someone has reported one missing or look in the paper. Other than that, I don't know of any more ideas.
