That means the temp is higher than the unit is able to detect. If it has been exposed to very high heat then it is damaged. It may still have a bad sensor.

HHH means the temp is over the range that was designed. Where did you locate the sending unit?

Simply press the small recessed button (a small triangle is pointing it ) directly above the battery door with something slender like a ballpoint pen or a toothpick, while pushing the battery door down, away from the thermometer.

Oven does not reach set temp

What are using to measure temp ? Are you using a grocery store bi-metal or professional thermal probe ? and further to that, how long are you waiting to check temp. after range "beeps" or announces preheat complete ? The bi-metal type thermometers do take several minutes longer to reach actual temp as opposed to the ranges temp. probe. Does this unit have the "hidden" bake element ? That sounds like a huge temp difference. These units do require an additional 10mins of wait time after announcing ("BEEP") the preheat is complete (check your manual, it should confirm this) Elements don't go "bad" it either comes on (amp draw) or it doesn't.

hope this helps.

good luck

I have a Sunbeam digital meat probe thermometer used once. Now the display for thermo/temp comes up H instead of the temperature of the meat. What is wrong? Sunbeam digital meat probe thermometer has quit...

I left mine in a hot tub for well over an hour. It started reading room temp at about 125 degrees. It worked for me to put the thermometer in the freezer until the readings were correct. hope this works for you.

HHH Error Code

Generally, an HHH error code means the machine is sitll too hot from making the previous loaf. Keep the door open for a bit and allow it to cool down.

Maverick et 72 remote thermometer when it is turned on it reads HHH

If the receiver and/or the transmitter display LLL or HHH instead of the probe temperature,
wait for probe to reach room temperature. If LLL or HHH is still displayed it is likely the
internal probe wire has shorted out either through moisture or heat damage.

Preheat beep indicator is inaccurate

It's working ok. These often beep after a preset time. It may be set to beep at 10 minutes. Not always at the temp set. It is usually close enough though.
