You might have a leaky pump. Open the washer case and check the pump

SOURCE: I can't find the model number on washer Whirlpool Ultimate Care

Model # and info is under the lid. Open lid and look directly under it - area facing you. You should see a small silver tag with all the factory info on it. My washer is also 9 years old.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load

Hello.

The capacity of your washer is 3.2 cu ft and the dryer is 6.0 cu ft. This is pretty much a standard for newer top load washers and dryers. You can get bigger but it is not that much bigger.

SOURCE: whirlpool ultimate care II top load skips agitation turns

I have the same problem, and i think it is a problem with the agitator i pulled mine off, (remove softener insert below that is a seal easily removed and then a 7/16'' bolt) seems a 'clutch' mechanism between base and upper agitators is shot.

SOURCE: Washer works great, but only

Hello,

This is a common problem with Whirlpool washer.

Examine the transmission spline for wear. When stripped, this prevents the agitator from properly gripping the transmission shaft. The spline or the agitator itself may need to be replaced.

In other words, the Spline or agitator of the top half of your washer is the cause of the problem. These two parts may need to be replaced.

Good luck.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer were is the drain filter

Hi.

With Whirlpool top loader models the pump is located at the bottom of the appliance. The pump is accessed from underneath the appliance. Some model may have an access panel at the back. I think that with the Ultimate Care models the pump must be accessed from underneath. Here a repair video.
Here parts and diagrams.

Phillips Whirlpool Ultimate Care II won't spin very quickly

If this is a top loader it is possible that you have a bad clutch. sometime when your transmission leaks oil it will get into the clutch and this will cause a slower spin and possibly no spin. Tip the washer back just enough so you can see under the washer. Is there a orange/yellow sticky substance under there? If so this is trany fluid.

See the solution I provided under your other post. I believe your problem is attributed to a faulty lid switch.

Leaks water from the bottom

Your pump is probably leaking. It's mounted right at the front of the cabinet to the motor. It's held on by 2 clips and 2 clamps, very easy job. Part number for the pump is 3363394.
