Think it was input select button which was pressed but not sure. Return buttons do not restore picture it's fixed with black screen and the small icon in upper left corner. Box has capital A inside and wifi like lines coming from it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Try pressing to get channel 3. My tv has inputs for external source which is line 1 or line 2, and is found as a channel below channel 2. Seems like it would be a channel maybe.

Try the RETURN button on the remote to get back to viewing.

Have tried return button no luck. Will have to study manual but not hopeful

I looked through this manual available on line of a similar Sony Bravia (how different could they be, just trying to help):

See if you can fine "Home" button on remote, from there click "Watching TV" and look for "Rovi On Screen Guide." That may show what is available to watch on TV. I kind of think it has been stuck in wifi mode and is looking for a wifi to connect to. Good Luck.
