Have a yardman 19hp riding mower briggs and stratton engine replaced cables starter solenoid.Engine starts when u put gas in carb but won't stay running can u help?

Thank U for all your help and support we got this mower running unfortunately U have to jump it off thesolenoid and to stop it you have to choke it out so now we're trying to figure out why it won't start and shut off right so if you have any ideas we're open for suggestions. Lisa, check for in line fuse in the ignition harness, it may be blown, solenoid could be bad, starter switch, plug, wires could be faulty,corroded,damaged. Google search (lawn tractor not starting from ignition switch) for more detailed info. and test you can try.
