How volt transformer for AOpen spekers?

My speaker are not working so i need a new transformer

If it is the transformer, it should be a DC output. Look where it connects, it will tell you what voltage you need. Use a volt meter to see if you are getting that from your "transformer". If so the amp in the speaker is probably blown, if not you need a new DC power supply with the correct voltage. If the replacement ma is higher that will not hurt, The information should also be on the "transformer".

    Where it connects to the speaker it should tell you. It probably say something 12V. You can take it to a Radio Shack they may have the part.

Amperage=voltage/resistance 50 watts

But no amp is going to put out that much voltage in output stages. You need a fuse with high amperage for speker protection.

No you cannot plug it directly into 240 volts, you will damage your speakers.

You need to get a step down transformer 240 volts down to 115 volts. These are available from Jaycar. Make sure you select a unit with a wattage equal to or greater to the wattage rquirements of the speaker system otherwise you will overload the transformer and it will fail.

You can't use the speaker with your computer apart from the monitor because of that plug. The powered woofer was made to work with the monitor and needs to be connected to the monitor to get power, input signal and volume control. If you want a powered subwoofer for your laptop you will need to purchase a new speaker system.

at the cost of some equipment today they are throw away when the dont work and buy new. if its a small transformer you might try radio shack multi volt unit . bring in old transformer so the can match speaker side of wire.

Probably not, but you can install a step-down transformer if there's room inside the unit. Since these speakers don't use much current, a small transformer will work. It doesn't have to be a 220-to-110 transformer either - any transformer designed to cut the voltage in half is fine. A 24 volt-to-12 volt transformer will also work.
