Go online with amazon.com Place cursor on Your Account, click Your account from the list. It will ask you to sign in before it takes you to the list of what you can do. Look for add credit/debit card and click that. You can add something different of update the expire date if you still have that card.
I had the same problem when my credit card on file expired and I got a new one in the mail. Though the number was the same, the expiration date had changed so Amazon could not use it.
I had to log onto my account at Amazon dot com and update the credit card expiration date and that little security number on the back and then the problem messages went away.
Check again at Amazon, My Account, Payment Methods. You will need to log in along the way. If it does not show click on enter new payment. You may be able to edit the old card to the new number and expire date. IF none of this works contact customer support.
