It is very likely that the key sensor pad has dust or grime between it and the middle c key. You can try turning the keyboard upside down and patting it like you are trying to discipline it on the bottom. Sometimes the foreign matter will dislodge . If not, it may need to be serviced by a qualified service center.

Good luck and Cheers!

I have a Yamaha PSR-S700. Recently, the touch sensitivity in one of the keys stopped working. Very little pressure applied would cause the note to sound as if the touch sensitivity was off completely. Now...

You MAY be confusing touch sensitivity with VELOCITY sensing. Touch sensitivity is PRESSURE put on AFTER the note sounds that causes modulation. VELOCITY is what is used for example to control the loudness of pianoo notes depending how fast they are struck. VELOCITY sensing is done by using TWO contacts at every key... one closes first. IF one of these gets dirty, FULL velocity will be sensed and it will be LOUD. The contacts can be cleaned using ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Qtips after MUCH disassembly of the keyboard. The contacts are conductive rubber pills in silicone rubber domes. Clean boththe contacts and the circuit traces they pres down onto.

1 key is not producing any sound its D.. n the midde c.. is sumtimes producing a sound n sometime its not.. kindly tell wat has happend to my synth psr i425

Key contacts are dirty. You will have to service the unit. The contacts (two per key) are conductive rubber "pills" that press down on circuit traces under the keys. Use ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q Tips to clean both the black pills in the silicone domes and the circuit traces themselves. Be gentle when doing this. When opening the unit, be careful of all the cables as they are easily damaged.

When typing an email the keys skip back to the

When I have seen this happen, the touch pad was set overly sensitive. When you are typing, your palm may be moving the cursor. If this happens at other times, then this can be corrected in the control panel. Go there and click on touch pad. It will have settings to set the sensitivity for the mouse pad, speed, double click/single, etc. You can change the settings to be more suited to your hands.

FYI: Older laptops were more susceptible to touchpad errors and I have even seen the area on either side of the touchpad to cause the mouse cursor to move and jump.

Good Luck

Casio PX700 sensors not working

Hi. I don't have a 700, but on the other privia's I have seen, there is a function key combo to turn on and off the touch response. Go to casio, and download the manual. You hit "fn" and then one of the lower keys. There are 4 levels of sensitivity on my machine. -Don

Key types twice on Hp pavilion labtop

If you go to start > (settings) > control panel.

Switch to classic display if applicable.

Select the keyboard icon and you can adjust the sensitivity. This will only work for all the keys but might help you.

I don't know if you mean that your cursor suddenly moves as you are typing? If so, it is likely your touch pad is too sensitive. I have a mouse w/mouse pad but never disabled the touch pad. So i disabled the touch pad and it solved it for me. If you want to be sure it is the touch pad being over sensitive, then type a paragraph but keep your fingers and palms far away from the touch pad. If the problem improves, like it did for me, then the touchpad is too sensitive. You can go into the settings for the touchpad to change the sensitivity setting to make it less senstive and see if that works and it does not then press Fn +F7 keys to disable the touchpad.
