How to find and fix oil pressure on a 95 ford windstar

Start out by determining that oil pressure is really the problem. Rent or buy an oil pressure gauge set or if your not working on cars everyday you can by an add on oil pressure gauge to connect and see the real oil pressure the fords gaugesas the cars and trucks get older the gauges fail and lie about the pressure. Once you know that the idel pressure is less than 15 LBs. warmered up you need to find the reason. Oil that is old or diluted with gas or antifreeze may not produce very much pressure so before going to the troble of removeing the oil pan to find bad things you might not be able to pay for change the oil and see if the pressure is high enough if it is you need to get the drained oil checked to see what it's failure is as the new oil may also fail quickly unless the problem is found and fixed, Cars that are driven short distance and not often are likly to contaninate the oil quickly, so they need to be changed more often and not by the miles but the time the oil is in the engine. Cars that are driven to full operating temperture on a regular basics, won't have this problem. Cars that don't warm up because the therostate does'nt close all the way so the temperture comes up quickly and is heald at the right temperture will fail the oil too.

Need to know where the velve is to release oil

Underneath the engine you will see an oil sump pan. It will have a drain plug that you can use to drain some or all of the oil. Loosen it slowly and oil will begin to drain. As soon as you have the amount out that you wish to drain, tighten the plug.

What type of oil on 97 saab 900

If turbo in a temperate climate, use 0W40 or 5W40 synth for year round protection. If naturally aspirated, you can use the same or 5W30. If you live a particularly hot climate, 10W40 will work just fine too, and you might even be well off to go to 10W50, at least in the hottest months. Turbos generate a lot of extra heat which contributes to quick long chain molecule shear down in multi- viscosity oils. Accordingly, a 40 wt oil will quickly thin down to something more like a 30 weight oil. Oil pressure in these cars is marginal at idle, so keeping a close eye on good viscosity is pretty important, as that helps keep pressure up.

My BMW 323C slow down quickly when my foot off the pedal

hello there

Thats interesting considering these BMW auto boxes have about 10 quarts of oil in them, when chainging the trans oil not all of it comes out but it should be at least 5/6 quarts. You need to get the oil level checked asap.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate me.
