First, check your sewing sample whether the loose stitches are actually the bobbin thread or the upper thread. Usually, loose stitches under the fabric indicate a problem with the upper thread.

The first thing to try is install a brand new needle.

Second, remove the upper thread. Always raise the presser foot and rethread the upper thread from the beginning--check to make sure the thread path is correct.

Set the tension to the midway point between high & low numbers.

Retest your machine. If upper thread is still showing under the fabric, the upper tension needs to be tightened. If the bobbin thread is showing on top of the fabric, the upper tension is too tight. When both threads meet in the middle of the fabric, the tension is correct.

Bottom stich is very loose how do i fix it

This is usually because the top tension is too low. Just raise the tension a little at a time and that will usually fix it.

What is the problem when my bottom stich is loose with my sewing machine

Hi, sometimes it does depend on your sewing machine as to what is actually wrong but it could be that your bottom thread tension is wrong and needs adjusting, if it is not that it could be that your machine needs a service and a clean out. Hope this is helpful.

I have a White 7140 quilters sewing machine. I can't find the manual and I am having trouble threading it. The stiches are coming out loose on top, but ok on the bottom. I have tried adjusting the...

try http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and search by typing in your model number. I couldn't see it there but there are other white machine manuals there so maybe one will give you help with threading. It sounds like the bobbin thread is not under tension, usually if the top is loose it is the bottom thread which is not tensioned and visa versa.

Loose stich on bottom of fabric

Hi. The problem is that your upper tension is too loose. It needs to be tighter in order to pull the bobbin thread up.

Machine is not making stiches

Probably nothing serious. I suspect it is incorrectly threaded. Check the needle is in right and rethread top and bottom according to the manual. There are some good youtube videos showing this if you do a search there.
