Even if the switch looks the same on the outside doesn't mean it's the same on the inside. Let me know the model # of fan and I might have a switch to sale you. [email protected]

SOURCE: Ceiling fan capacitor hook up problem. I have a 3

The reverse switch on my Hampton Bay ceiling fan didn't work. I cut the 6 wires; 1 white, 1 gray, 2 pink, 2 yellow. Here's what I did. Removed reverse switch. Had 6 wires white, gray, 2 yellow, 2 pink. Connected gray to yellow, connected white to pink and fan runs fine. Is this OK? I do not need to reverse fan. It's been running for 1 hour now with no problems. Don S.

SOURCE: Why does a table fan slow down after some time?

Revolving blades in table fans pushes out air towards the front by creating a vacuum at the back of the induction motor. Other than providing air flow, the gush of air also cools the motor. Over time, esp if used in a polluted surrounding, dust collects inside the motor and causes friction in the shaft. If left for a prolonged period, this friction causes heat eventually drying up the lubrication, causing breakdown in the motor amature windings and also a leaky starting capacitor, thus slowing down rotation and also a complete failure.

2. Fans must be regularly taken apart, cleaned and lubricated. It is fairly easy if you are willing to learn. My India made Usha brand table fan is 48 years old and is still running smooth - just changed the start capacitor last year and my National ceiling fans are more than 35 years old.

3. In fact all moving parts in any equipment must be periodically taken apart, cleaned free of dust and grime and freshly lubricated. It will outrun your lifetime and serve the next few generations.

Concord fan lights work, fan only at low speed.

Based on the information provided, it is possible that the issue lies with the Zing Ear ZE-208D 3 speed switch. This switch controls the fan speed and if it is not functioning properly, it could cause the fan to only run at the lowest speed. It is also possible that there could be an issue with the transformer or another component, but without further testing it is difficult to determine the exact cause of the problem.

One potential solution would be to replace the Zing Ear ZE-208D 3 speed switch. This can be done by disconnecting the wires from the old switch and connecting them to the new switch in the same configuration. It is important to ensure that the new switch is compatible with the fan and has the same number of wires as the old switch.

Another potential solution would be to check the wiring connections between the switch and the fan motor. Loose or damaged connections could cause issues with the fan speed.

If neither of these solutions work, it may be necessary to consult a professional electrician or contact Concord for further assistance.

Westinghouse 3speed fan switch 77288

It's the westinghouse switch. Many results on search. I just wasted 2 hours playing switching wires all combos. Others suggested the switch from Lowe's. Harbor breeze #0033905 . Plug wires back in as you listed Black L, Grey 1, Brown 2, Purple 3. Works perfectly for $3.98 plus tax.

Others said you can call Hampton Bay and get the replacement also.

3 speed fan switch

Zing Ear ze208s switches are NOT all the same - the actual switch wafer on the back varies significantly. Some are single-pole making contact with 1, 2, 3 one at a time, others make contact in combinations. Like L123 for high, L1&2 for medium, and L1&3 for low. The number stamped in the center of the back may indicate the difference. I have one with a "4" that is one-pole at a time, and another that is a "21" and makes multiple contacts at a time.
