Our garage door opener will not open with the wall switch or either remote. The light on the wall switch is blinking rapidly.There is power to the unit.The lights on both sensors are on.

It is related. One of the buttons on your wall control is the lock button and has a lock icon on it. Press and hold it for 3 seconds. The blinking should stop and your remote should now work.
If the LED is blinking randomly it is normal. If it is blinking rapidly you have interference from somewhere. To eliminate any interference start unplugging anything electrical and watch the LED. Some things will interfere that you wouldn't even think of like a heater in an aquarium. Check everything especially in the garage.
Check the alignment of the safety light beams near the floor on each side of the door. They are not properly aimed and the safety reverse feature will not allow the door to close properly.
