Your machine is very short of power required for win 10, I would like to see at least 8 GB ram, and a faster processor, yours is at the bottom of tests. Perhaps you should look at a new machine with win 10 installed. You cannot upgrade xp to win 10. You will have to purchase a win 10 license, you missed the free upgrade period.

get the win 10 program and install it separately

I had the same problem thinking that it was a free upgrade and when installed the pc gave me heaps
talked to my IT wiz and he explained that the upgrade caused problems and if I wanted to use win 10 install it from the media after uninstalling win 7
needless to say I am still using win 7 after I uninstalled the win 10 and the pc is trouble free up till now as there are driver problems appearing, win live mail problems and other issues because win 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and the program is slowly breaking down
AS for you problem c, take it to an IT geek and have him get into the os to clear the upgrade
Then get the win 10 program and have him uninstal win 7 and install win 10 for you

right click on the publisher 8 and then click on the properties tab
then click on compatibility tab and adjust to win 10
if there is no win 10 for compatibility, you may have to upgrade the version of publisher 8 or upgrade the driver for publisher 8

the problem that microsoft didn't mention is that upgrades to win 10 on win 7 causes conflicts and problems
The correct method is to install win 10 as a full OS and there will be no problems
you can download win 7 from the microsoft (genuine ) site and if there is a problem with authentication call microsoft help line
Before you do anything save everything possible to an external hard drive
Talk with an IT expert would be a good idea before doing anything as there may be a way of removing the win 10 upgrade

Suzanne, you may have to reinstall and set up the printer, again. The best place is the website of the printer manufacturer. Look for downloads, updates, or such words. This should not cost any money. Follow exactly the install directions. If still an issue remains, seek support from the techies at the printer manufacturer site, likely everyone is having the issue, and they would want to fix the issue.

Both the IE11 Browser and Windows10 can be had on Microsoft site.
I would install Windows 10 first, it may come with an updated Browser.
