My ceiling fan and light does not respond to remote control any more. How do I get them to reconnect again?

I have read and understand that the Remote DIP switches need to match the Receiver controls in the Fan. My Fan with light did work when installed about a week ago, not it does not. I've checked the battery, which is new. I'm guessing, could a temporary blackout from weather storm cause the remote not to communicate with the ceiling fan? Dip switches are the same just ceiling fan and light does not respond to remote control any more. How do I get them to reconnect again? or see each other? Again DIP switches are already set alike.

If that doesn't work you probably need a new receiver.

How do I know if the problem with my Hampton Bay Windward II fan is with the ceiling or with the remote. It worked fine for years and now all of a sudden it is hardly ever responding to the remote?

Did you try changing the battery? Unlikely to be the fan, but it could be the receiver.

I need a remote control modual for a dawn sun model #fd-30-ho2r

Hello, Harry -

I believe a Dawn Sun is a model name for a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. You probably do not realize it, but your question landed in the Fixya.com category for Television & Video.

I found some Harbor Breeze universal remote controls on the Lowes website:
https://www.lowes.com/pl/Ceiling-fan-remote-controls-Ceiling-fan-parts-accessories-Ceiling-fans-accessories-Lighting-ceiling-fans/4294395598?refinement=4294965856

Be sure to read the specifcations, reviews, and Community Q&As for each universal remote control before ordering one. You will want to make sure the remote control you choose works with the Dawn Sun fd-30-ho2r model ceiling fan.

Best wishes.

Where do i find the receiver receptor

Are you asking where you find the receiver's receptor on the ceiling fan? Sorry, your question is a little bit hard to understand - can you clarify a bit? If you are asking about a fan, which fan is it where you are trying to find the receiver?

No connection between the fan remote and Ceiling fan

The remote-controlled fans that I've seen all have DIP switches in the transmitter (the "remote") and receiver (up by the fan). For the remote to operate the fan, both sets of switches have to be set to the same code. If you happened to bump the DIP switches (and change the code) while replacing the battery, the fan would no longer respond to the remote.

It's been four months since you posted this problem, so you've probably figured that out by now. Still, other users may run into the same problem occasionally.
