Error message for arccon.ac; app. failed to start--magcore.dll not found. Windows message--arcsoft connect notifier stopped working. How do I resolve this?

You see this message because the program is set to be loaded during boot. To stop the message from appearing all you have to do is to remove the program from starting. Otherwise you have to re-install it.

Its part of the ArcSoft application and the best people to explain would be the program manufacturer.
It seems like this software may be corrupt or not installed properly.

Use an uninstaller like http://www.revouninstaller.com/
It will remove every remnant.

What you describe falls under the general category of svchost.exe issues. Svchost.exe is used by your computer to access the registry and check the services to load during system startup.

arccon.ac is an ArcSoft Connect Notifier. There are two possibilities why its happening:

1. Microsoft releases regular security updates that are installed automatically on your computer by the Automatic Updates feature, which is enabled by default on your computer. The Svchost.exe Application error usually appears due to a problem with a recent update.

Closing the error message might freeze your computer. To fix this error, perform the following tasks.

1. Open Control Panel, select Performance and Maintenance, and then select Services.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, open the Automatic Updates tab.
3. Next, select the Turn Off Automatic Updates option.
4. Select Apply and then OK to accept your changes and exit the System Properties dialog box.
5. Restart your PC.
6. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and then select the Windows Update command from Start > All Programs to manually update Windows.
7. After the update is complete, enable the automatic updates again from System Properties > Automatic Updates.

Uninstall the registry cleaner with which you have cleaned the windows registry.

The file Magcore.dll belongs to a program called arcsoft. Do you have such a program? You might need to reinstall it.
