Usually a cart takes 8-10 hours to fully charge. But in your case to get it to load on a trailer 3-4 hours should do it. Warning: DO NOT TRY EARLIER THAN 3 HOURS !!! IT WON'T MOVE FAR EVEN IF IT STARTS MOVING GOOD.

Does late model chevy vehicles alternator charge a dead battery or does it just maintain it. I pull a trailer will it charge the battery on the trailer?

A four pin trailer wire won't charge it. But the bigger one ( I believe a seven pin/ round connector) will if it is wired right. You would need a 10 gauge wire to feed the B+ side of the trailer battery from the alternator. Also make sure the ground is good.

There is no 12V power to the trailer battery.

This is most likely an issue with the wiring harness going to the connector on your truck you need to start at the connector at the back of the truck and walk your way forward to the breakers under the hood (rarely is the 12 power on the trailer harness connecter simply fused since it is a higher current circuit, it usually uses a breaker just like your headlights). Before you do this find a copy of the wiring diagram for your truck so you know what you are looking for. Also a dead battery normally will not fully charge in the normal time span of a trailer being towed as you can typically figure over 6 hours to charge the type of battery (deep cycle) that is in a trailer.

Toyota hybrid-want to run a wire to charge my trailer battery. Where do I pick up the power?

on your trailer plug look for a blue wire that is for aux power to charge trailer battery when your parked diconnect plug or it will drain car battery, also look in fuse box for empty holder marked aux or trailer you may have to put a fuse in it, did you put in trailer plug or was it factory ?you may have to run your own power wire if you do put i fuse in line for protection.good luck larry hope this helped or gave you some ideas.

Battery goes dead over night

First thing to do is find out if it's the battery or the mower. Disconnect the battery and leave it overnight. If it's dead in the morning, you need a new battery. If not, you either have a charging problem (not likely if the battery isn't dead after using the mower) or you have a current drain.

EZGO golf cart won't go forward

Your batteries have died. The reason it will barely move in reverse is that current is being supplied to the motor is a direction that it spends very little time using. There is a slight change in the armature over time, and reverse tends to work better over time. Check the voltage when under load. (run jumper wires from the + and - of the battery bank. If it is a 36 volt cart and the voltage drops to below 36 volts, you do not have enoug current to run the cart. Plug in the charger and watch the ampmeter. If it goes up to about 20 amps, then it is charging. It should take a good charge after 10 hours. If the cart charges and only runs a short distance, the batteries need replacing.

My 2000 Yamaha golf cart has 6-4cell 8 volt batteries. I did not leave the cart plugged in during the winter months. When I attempted to charge yesterday, the charger lights sequenced but stayed on...

Yes to both questions. the charger must sense 41.5 volts to activate the relay inside the charger. Being a repair shop, I have a charger that is rigged to charge even DEAD batteries. I do not recommend this for the novice. A charger set on 12 volts will bring the batteries back up to 8.2-8.6 volts. A cheap trickle charger may not put out enough to charge a battery of this size. Remember that they are used to MAINTAIN a charge. Connect the Voltmeter and watch for voltage rise. If it rises to 8.1 or above, it is charging. Trojan battery company recommends charging at least once a month.

I was just given a Instep Duosport bike cart and want to make sure that I connect it correctly to my bike for saftey reason. I need to know where I can find the directions for connecting to my bike

i do not know where the directions are but there are only 3 ways they connect and all are really obvious first which looks like your one gets done in with the wheel nuts it has a round flat disk like end with a hole in it. Second is the seat poll attachment but that has a arch as to not hit the tires, and third goes on the bottom arms of the back of the bike and fasten on with small screw in clips.
hope this helps you out.

When i plug up my charger to my electric scooter it says that it is fully charged but when i unplug it it doesnt move at all

I had a similar problem. When scooter purchased, gave it the full 8 hr charge. Was great. Husband did not bring batteries n that winter from unheated building. If left in cold a trickle charger needs to be on it. Easier to take out and bring in.

Same thing happened. Would charge and said fully charged but one battery(has 2) had a dead cell from being out in the cold. Took to batteries plus(very reasonable) had it checked and purchased.new one. Put in and gave it a full charge. Wonderful ever since. Use it at horse shows to run from trailer to stalls to arena and all over. Constantly forget to turn switch off and still comes through for me. It appears to go into a sleep mode when you forget to switch off. When back to trailer to sleep plug it in. The first 2 days of a 7 day circuit didn't plug in but then started to whenever I took it back to trailer as the strip sign says on platform. Duh!! Love it, love it love it!!!
