How to connect to internet doesnt recognize router password

Are you sure of Wifi password is correct?
if so, 1st; try restarting your ipad by holding down power/sleep button untill it show "Slide to shut down" leave it off for 10 seconds & then re-open it.enter the Wifi -password, sometimes this step works.

2nd solution ; try resetting your iPad network settings, it will not affect your ipad in any thing except it will forget all entered passwords for any wifi you have already connected before. go to General from Setting, choose resett, and inside only reset network setting, shut down ipad & try to connect to the wifi again. Hope this solution work for you. Also you may try shutting down & opening your router again after 10 seconds while off. Good Luck.

Configure XBOX with Media Center

Windows Media Center setup on your Xbox 360 Begin by connecting your Xbox 360 to your home network. The Introduction to Home Networking guide on the Xbox website will provide information if you're setting up a network for the first time or if you need some guidance for adding the Xbox 360 to your existing home network.

Once your Xbox 360 is connected to your network, begin the Windows Media Center setup process by pressing the green button on your remote control (if you have one), or use your game controller to select the Media Center option from the Media tab in the Xbox 360 on-screen menu.

You are asked if you want to connect your Xbox 360 to a PC running Windows Media Center in Windows Vista. Select the Media Center option to continue.

Once your Windows Vista-based PC has been detected, your Xbox 360 will display an eight-digit code. Write down this code on a piece of paper, and then go to your Windows Vista-based PC.
Note: When connecting to a Windows Vista-based PC, you do not need to select Continue or download additional software.
Add your Xbox 360 as an Extender to your Windows Vista-based PC Important: During the setup process, the Windows Firewall is automatically configured to enable your Windows Media Center Extender to connect to your Windows Vista-based PC. If you're using extra security software that includes a non-Microsoft firewall, you may need to manually configure your firewall to ensure a successful setup and connection.

With your eight-digit code in hand, begin by selecting Windows Media Center from the Start menu in Windows Vista. From the Windows Media Center menu, select Tasks, and then select Add Extender. This will begin a simple, step-by-step path that will add your Xbox 360 to your Windows Vista-based PC. During this setup process, you will be asked to provide the eight-digit setup key you received from your Xbox 360.
Click through this preview of the setup to familiarize yourself with the process.

The Extender Setup screen provides an introduction of the steps you'll go through to add an Extender to your Windows Vista-based PC. Click Next to start the process.

Enter the eight-digit setup key you received from your Xbox 360 (the one that you wrote down on your piece of paper, right?), and then click Next.

The setup process will need to make changes to your Windows Vista-based PC settings to establish the connection to the Xbox 360. Click Next to continue.

Review the information provided about Away Mode. Make your selection, and then click Next.

The setup process will ask if you would like to share media with the Extender. Select Yes (recommended) to share media folders, and then click Next. If you are using User Account Control, you'll see a User Account Control dialog box that will seek your permission to run the Windows Media Center Extender Configuration. Select Continue to grant permission.

Your PC will now go through the remaining steps to configure itself and establish the connection to your Xbox 360.

That's it! You're done! When you're finished with the PC setup, go back to your Xbox 360, and start enjoying access to all of the digital entertainment stored on your Windows Vista–based PC through your Xbox 360.
Optimize your home network The quality of your entertainment experience, especially video playback, is dependent on having a reliable and high-performance home network. To help ensure the best performance, we recommend that you run the Windows Media Center Extender Network Performance Tuner during the setup process on your PC. The Network Tuner provides very specific feedback on your network, as well as tips to solve any potential problems.
You can click through the preview of the Network Performance Tuner to familiarize yourself with the process.

The Network Performance Tuner runs diagnostics on your home network and provides feedback on potential issues that would make your Windows Media Center experience less than optimal.

When analyzing the network, the Network Tuner provides specific feedback based on all of the components connected to your network.

The Network Tuner provides feedback on the types of media that your network may have trouble handling effectively and suggests corrective actions than can help to solve the problem

The Network Tuner also looks for performance issues related to how your network is set up. In this case, the fact that the Windows Vista-based PC and the Xbox 360 are both connected wirelessly to the router may cause performance issues. You'll only see these warnings screens when the Network Tuner has detected a problem.

Real-time feedback is offered through the Network Tuner, so you can see if the adjustments you make to your network improve the performance.

Shrey

Printer connected to windows 7; how establish wireless connection?

There should be an access menu that allows you to set network settings. In order for the printer to be used wirelessly you will have to adjust the settings to allow it to connect with your router. When you enter LAN settings and setup the name of your home network and password it should connect to your router as a network printer. If you need help getting to that setup screen, let me know and I'll check a manual online.

Have d-link DWL-122 wireless usb adapter on vista operating system. trying to setup connection with d-link router on another tower not allowing connection. How do I set up wireless connection thats outside...

Start with the router. On a PC that you have connecting to the router, open a browser and enter http://192.168.0.1/ Login as admin with the password you setup. Use the wireless setup wizard to walk through establishing Internet connection with your internet provider. Set your SSID and security protocol and key. Save settings and wait for router to restart.

From Vista PC with wireless adapter, be sure to check d-link site for latest driver. Right click on network icon in lower right (task area) and select Connect to and view available networks. You should see the SSID save on the router. Click on it and choose connect. You will be prompted for the security key.

Post back if have more issues.

Connection issue

Hi! I believe your having some issue with your router and I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern..Time warner cable is your isp and if the computer is connected directly to the modem, you have a perfect internet connection but if you are going to connect the cable from your modem to the router and you connect your computer to port 1 to 4 of your router it will not give u an internet connection. This is what we are going to do.
1. connect your computer that can get an internet connecttion thru time warner cable to the router on port1.
2. pull up a browser and type in the default gateway of the router, to check the default gateway of the router, right click the network icon on the lower right of the task bar and click status and it will show the ip address, subnet and default gateway, ex the default gateway is 192.168.1.1, u are going to type in the default gateway ip address to the url of the browser.
3. It will ask u for the username and password, by default the username is admin and the password is 1234 or just leave it blank.
4. It will pop up the setup page of the router and you have to look for the setting for doing a mac clone, you need to clone the mac address of your pc that can connect to the internet thru time warner cable modem.
5. once its done, save the settings and on the internet connection settings, manualy configured it to auto-dhcp. save the settings.
6. once its done..unplg the power of the computer, router and modem.
7. cable connection should be, cable from the modem goes to the WAN port of the router and connect cable on port 1 of the router to your computer on the lan port.
8. Plug in 1st the power of the cable modem, once all lights are lit then plug in the power of the router, once all lights are solid on the router, like the power, WAN, u will notice that there is no light on the port1, computer is still off, once the computer is on port1 will lit, then power on the computer..once computer is completely boot up, pull up a browser and it should gives u an internet connection.
9. Once you have an internet connection, u can access again the setup page of the router to setup the wireless connection settings.
10. If you are going to connect another to the existing router that is conneted to the time warner cable. that is possible, but before u connect the 2nd router to the 1st router..
a. connect the 2nd router to a computer to set it up..you have to access the setup page of the 2nd router.
b. once you access the setup page, there is a menu for the lan settings that is for the router side. u need to change the 3 octet of the ip address of the 2nd router. ex your 1st router ip address is 192.168.1.1 and the 2nd router ip address is 192.168.1.1 to change the 3 octet of the 2nd route, the 2nd router ip address should be 192.168.2.1. then save the settings..
c. the router will reboot and need to access the setup page of the router by using the 192.168.2.1 and u can set the wireless connection settings.. once its done..
d. cable connection should be---cable from the time warner cable goes to the WAN port of the 1st router, connect a cable to port 4 of the 1st router going to the WAN port of the 2nd router.. this process is called cascading two routers on a network.. this should work.. good luck
