Giannina express purchased in salvation army, after traveling to Spain and using another, gasketless brand in apartment there. Initially thrilled to find one. It is stainless steel. The water bubbles around the sides of the base onto stove. no gasket with the device. could that be the problem or might the valve not be working? the top part does jiggle as well. Ciao!
I just bought mine at a salvation army today ( it looks brand new , and it has a blue molded rubber gasket on the bottom side of the top piece )

That's not good. Keep it outside and treat it with Diatomaceous Earth. It's a natural powder and it works! You can buy it online. If not interested in that option, take it back to the S.A. They should understand and refund your money.
the one made into the ps3? why you taking it apart?..its cheaper to go to slackers and get another one or go to a resale shop like goodwill or salvation army or someplace...even a pawn shop..
