this version will delete your data. found it at link below

Turn off the tablet and hold down the volume up button and then the power button. Release both when the dog appears. After the dead Android appears, there are three methods of bringing up the menu, and you'll need to find the one that works on your device:
1. Press power and volume up buttons (works on my family's)
or
2. Press volume up
or
3. Tap the Android

Navigate the menu with the volume keys, and select an option with the power button.

How can I get my Nexus 7 to turn on?

1. Make sure it fully charged
2. Do it while its Plugged int
3. If there is a SD card in it remove it
4.If this does not work you can do a Hardwired reset

Hard Reset via Hardware

If your device is completely unresponsive, you still have one additional option.
1. Press the power button and both volume keys for several seconds. The computer screen will eventually blink off. Continue to hold until you see the Android recovery logo and the large Start selection at the top of the screen.
2. Move the volume keys up and down to see the menu selections. If you don't want to factory reset, you can try to Power down or to Restart bootloader from these selections. The power key will select the option.
3. If you are forced to factory reset and wipe the device, select Recovery Mode. Your device will reboot. This reboot will be much slower than normal.
4. When you see the Android with red triangle, hold the power button down and press the volume up key until the wipe data/factory reset option appears. Press the power button to select it. Remember that this will erase all the data on your device.
5. With the volume keys select Yes - erase all user data and again press the power button to select this option.

I've had several issues but the one now is that all my tablet will do is show a pic of an android laying down with a red triangle on it bearing an exclamation mark. At the bottom of the screen it says NO...

1. Turn tablet off. You may need to use two hands in this process to press and hold buttons properly.

2. Turn on the tablet with power button, wait a full 2 seconds from the time the tablet starts showing the red Motorola logo, then press and hold the down Volume key. (you should not hold down the power button after it turns on and logo appears)

3. "Android Recovery" will appear on top of screen if timing is done correctly. Release volume button. (if you continue to press volume down at that message, the message will cycle through "RSD, Fastboot, and back to Android Recovery. Make sure message states Android Recovery before you go to next step). If stuck at a RSD protocol or Fast boot screen, reboot the tablet by holding power button then pressing the volume up).

4. While screen states "Android Recovery", Press volume up button, the screen will say "Entering Android recovery mode" and a few seconds later an Android robot graphic will appear alone on the screen. Release buttons.

5. Hold down power button and then press the volume up key together to see the Android Recovery screen menu selections.

6. Use the volume buttons to move up and down through selection in this menu.

7. Using the volume down button, scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset"

8. Tap Power hard key to select option.

9. Scroll down to select "Yes, delete all user data".

10. Tap the power button to select. Wiping and formatting data will take a few minutes.

11. You will return back to the Android recovery screen menu.

12. Tap the Power button to "Reboot system now" which will power-cycle tablet and eventually power back on to the Initial Set-up / Welcome screen present when you first turned on your tablet.

Nexus 7 won't turn on

Pop the back off, unplug the battery for about 30 seconds, plug the battery back in, put the back cover back on. You will find it will start no problem.

How do i get it off the android screen so it will show the lock screen?

Sounds like its borked.
Have you pressed the reset button on the back - pinhole - press it with a pin its a long shot.

The real fix is to go into recovery mode using the power button volume up combo. Then select the restore tablet option.

If none of that works you will have to sideload or reinstall using an sdcard a replacement OS - Try cyanogenmod - your tablet will have to be rooted and have the cm bootloader installed however - tablets are not easy things to repair when the software goes belly up.

It won't turn on

Let's try to hard reset your device, not sure if this will work on both models (2012 and 2013). What you are going to read next is a C/P, best of luck.

Hard Reset or Wipe via Menu

If your device is completely unresponsive, you still have one additional option.
1. Press the power button and both volume keys for several seconds. The computer screen will eventually blink off. Continue to hold until you see the Android recovery logo and the large Start selection at the top of the screen.
If you are forced or desire to factory reset and wipe the device, select Recovery Mode. Your device will reboot. This reboot will be much slower than normal.
2. When you see the Android with red triangle, hold the power button down and press the volume up key until the wipe data/factory reset option appears. Press the power button to select it. Remember that this will erase all the data on your device.
3. With the volume keys select Yes - erase all user data and again press the power button to select this option.

- Press and hold the volume + button while powering on the device.
- Keep the volume + pressed until the Recovery mode starts (white screen).
- To move from one option to another, use the volume buttons. To select an option, press the ON/OFF button.

There should be an option to factory reset or erase your tablet.

Archos 101 wont turn on

System recovery

If your ARCHOS does not respond correctly or does not start properly, you can try to remedy this situation with a system recovery. Be very careful with this as there are options to erase all the data on your device.

To enter into the Recovery screen

- Turn off the device and wait 10 seconds.
- Press and hold the volume + button while powering on the device.
- Keep the volume + pressed until the Recovery mode starts (white screen).
- To move from one option to another, use the volume buttons. To select an option, press the ON/OFF button.

Recovery mode options

No: Cancels the system recovery.
Update firmware: Allows you to connect your device to a computer in order to copy the latest .AOS file (operating system) to your device and then install it.
Repair System
: Attempts to repair the file structure on the internal memory. This does not erase any data.
No: Return to main recovery screen.
Force Touchscreen Calibration:
Select this and then select no to leave the recovery screen. Upon restarting, the ARCHOS will immediately start the touch-screen calibration utility.
Check Disk: Check and repair the system partition if damaged.
Start USB MSC: Allows you to connect your device to a PC to access the internal memory.
Format System: Formats the internal memory. All data (music, photos, videos, etc.), applications and settings are erased. "
