Oven is 12 years old. Had been getting intermittent error codes. Now it will work occasionally, but often just shuts down. It is worth calling a repair service, or is it time to replace?

We are getting a F9 code on a GE ZET938 convection wall oven while trying to clean it. What does that code mean?

The wall oven probably has a bad door lock. If the door is stuck shut, average repair cost ~ 300 dollars - 500 Dollars max. Worth calling service if you lack the confidence or experiece to tackle this expensive machine. If the wall oven door actually opens and isn't locked shut, try holding down the door switches to see if you get a response or if the error clears. Recommend calling GE service for this repair if available in your area. 1800 GE CARES

F7 error code jenn-air wall oven

My 20 year old electric Jenn Air range recently flashed the F7 error code and beeped repeatedly. I shut off the circuit breaker until it cooled. The next day I turned it on and everything seemed fine. We baked a pizza and the
erro repeated when the oven was shut off.
I opened the front panel and noticed the wire ribbon connecting the front panel to the display was slightly askew. How that happened is beyond me. I pulled out the ribbon hold down clips, pushed the ribbon in all the way, and
replaced the hold down clips. The range is now working properly after replacing nothing.
The cheapest fix possible.

Oven shuts off with Error Code 4d21

This problem points to the controller card not functioning properly. It will need to be replaced. Here is a link so you can get the owner's manual:

Thermador CM302 shuts off intermittently. No error code, timer remains working.

Dear Craig Buck,

This is either a fault with the timer, or you have a fault with the thermostat. Get a multimeter onto that thermostat and test it, after removing the heating element of course. Then get back in touch with me and I will give you the fix.

Yours sincerely

The time blinks at 12:00, there is a beeping sound, the oven does not work. It's only 2 years old.

Hi.

The beeping sound is a warning because the oven is in lock condition, or because a fault had been detected. In this last case there would be an error code or something unusual.

Push and hold the Clock button for about 10 seconds, that will reset the oven. If that does not work, then trip the circuit breaker for five minutes and hold the button again to reset.

If still no luck, then there may be a fault condition. In that case better calling the Frigidare number listed on the owners manual.

If the oven is two year old , then there may still be warranty cover on parts, one more reason to contact the manufacturer if the oven does not reset.

Try resetting the oven first.

Regards.

Have an older Vulcan oven with double doors. The spring clip that holds the door shut has broken off. The spring loaded ball is okay just need the plate that fits on the door. This unit is probably 20 yhs...

found parts for vulcan ovens at a appliance store called Y.E.S. ( year end supply) out of New Mexico if I remember correctly. It has been about 12 years since I have had the pleasure of working on an older vulcan oven. Hope this helps. Good Luck

When cooking will get an occasional f2 or f5 error code

HI, This seems to be another ERC issue. the temperature sensory circuit is malfunctioning. the oven will not operate while this condition exist within the ERC. This malfunction will allow your oven to over heat and may cause a fire. The second issue will be that the relay drive circuit is malfunctioning as well. If you cant cancel the error code and continue with normal usage, you will have to replace the ERC once more.

Please rate and god bless:)
