The northern mockingbird pairs hatch about 2 to 4 broods a year. In one breeding season, the northern mockingbird lays an average of 4 eggs. They hatch after about 11 to 14 days of incubation. After about 10 to 15 days of life, the offspring become independent

My cockatail is just over 1yr she has been going into box moving paper around wont let any one near is she nesting what do l do is she 2 young

just leave her to it, it's normal female bird behavior... although you might find some mini eggs once in a while, remove these as you find them, don't leave them on the nest as instinct will tell them to incubate it (which won't hatch unless you also have a male).

I need instructions for a janoel 12 egg incubator please i have lost mine

Hello,

Here are instructions from another website along with various links to download manuals and lead you to other forums talking about egg incubators:

Operating steps:
1. Put the mesh with the rail(big mesh)(fig.1) into the incubator.
2. Put the moveable egg tray (fig.2) on the mesh with rail, please do it within the rail.
3. Put the egg tray grille ( fig.3) into moveable egg tray according to size of egg for incubation.
4. Put the hatching egg into moveable egg tray(fig.5) for incubation, pay attention that after each egg is put into the grille, there should be 5mm clearance at least for convenient turning of hatching egg, inject 100ml water into the base after the hatching egg is put, check once for every two days so that the incubator is not short of water. Every water injection shall not be more than 100ml, take down the date of placing hatching egg so as to well control the hatching time. It's best to place the incubator on 60-100cm for convenient insertion of link rod.
5. When closing the cover(fig.7) , the link rod must insert the shifting slot of moveable egg tray, so that the egg tray can shift normally.( in other words, the cercley thingy coming out of the top with a rod in it has to be attached to the egg tray by putting the rod into the egg turner square hole to make sure that the incubator turns the eggs well)
6. Switch on the power supply after closing the cover, and set temperature according to push-button instruction and incubation technology. If the user has no time to care about the temperature, the temperature can be set at 38'c from the first day of hatching, and it can be set as 37.5 - 37.8C since the following day of hatching.
7. It moves to hatching tray 3 days earlier than incubation period for other poultry
8. It usually takes 3-4 days less than the number of incubation days for egg tray replacement, replace the egg tray once one or two hatching eggs are seen hatched, take all of the hatching eggs off from the incubator firstly, then take the moveable egg tray with mesh with rail out, check the water level, then put the hatching mesh( fig. 10) and egg tray in and put the hatching egg on the egg tray, shown as fig. 11.
9. After closing the cover and switching on the power supply, the hatching situation can be observed.

Are Beanie babies filled with spider eggs just hatching now?

I would find that highly unlikely as spider eggs hatch in a time frame of one to four weeks. It is more likely that the eggs were laid during that time period.

Egg Bound Parakeet

You want to keep her warm and in a very humid environment; we get a water soaked hot towel, put it in a clean bucket put the bird on top of the towel and then cover the bucket with another towel. while she is resting in the bucket go to the kitchen and get some apple sauce (hope you have some) get some olive oil or, mineral oil even, Vaseline will do.........heat you towel up again and let her sit another 5 minutes. Now get a q-tip and saturate it with your lube; you may want a helper for the next step.....gently restrain the bird in your hand abdomen down and out; have your helper feel between the pelvis bone to see if the egg is broken or not and where it is. Now gently use your q-tip with ky jelly or whatever on the tip and GENTLY lubricate the birds vent. Now gently use your middle finger and help the egg out by pushing gently in and down on the outside of her abdomen. Small movements is the key and did I mention be gentle. You are just massaging the egg out don't push too hard or you will hurt the bird and break the egg.........if the egg breaks just keep massaging her abdomen until it looks like everything is out. if you have a small syringe and a surgical tube you can evacuate the abdomen with sterile water.
Give the bird some applesauce if you know how; it will help her get cleaned out. Make sure she stays warm and has plenty of water. Keep calcium in her cage to help harden the next set of eggs. Good luck.

I think my cockatiel is egg bound, what can I do?

First I would discuss a vet, just to make sure it is an egg bound. You should be aware that Females cockatiels are known for becoming egg bound. To avoid this, make sure that your birds has adequate amounts of calcium in their diet.
