Could be the frount panel with the remote infered gone out. There is a little I beleave 16 V 1800Uf cap on that board check it and see if it has bulged or it leaked. It also could be a IC intergraded circuit gone bad. Its hard to tell without looking at it.

RCA 20F514TD has lost horizontal hold. How can I adjust this? I have found no button or menu option discussed in the manual or by searching.

Horizontal rolling is the fault to your TV I assumes. It is a circuit fault. It can't be adjusted by customer controls. Contact any experienced service technician.

We have a Toshiba Model 37LX96 LCD/DVD Combo Can't turn on, after a recent power outage There is power going to the unit, but it will not turn on using the remote or using the "power"...

Common problem with the main board. Only happens after losing main power, not just turning the TV off.
I found that blowing hot air with a heat gun down the vents above the DVD player (don't melt the plastic housing) will warm the main board up enough to get the TV powered up again.
You'll be good to go until the next power outage then back to the heat gun.
Also the spec sheet indicates max humidity at 80% so keep the TV in a space with lower humidity.
The Toshiba 37LX96 is a quality TV, not a throw away if you can keep it running.

I locked my front panel by accident and have no remote for my rca 20F514TD..how do I unlock?

Hello
To open front panel control function you must have its Origitnal Remote control. If you have lost it, try to borrow it from your friends or relatives; who owns the same model of TV as you have; just to unlock the front panel lock.

[1] From the PARENTAL CONTROL menu, press the up or down arrow to highlight
Lock Fr. Panel.

[2] Press the right or left arrow to turn on (box has check mark) or off (box doesn't
have check mark) front panel lock.
OK.

Dvd stuck in RCA widescreen tv

There are two things you can try to correct this problem on your TV/DVD combo unit:
  • If you're using the remote control, press the DVD/TV button first to make sure the remote control is in TV mode.
  • If you're trying to use the buttons on the front of the unit, unplug the TV/DVD for two minutes, and then plug it back in. Press the ON/OFF button and try again.

PC won't start up

Check for power on the A/C outlet. Maybe the circuit breakers were tripped. If there is power, then the power supply installed on the computer might be surged. Replace power supply if thats the case. Normally, there's a button that says 'power' or an image of a lightbulb... you need not use the remote.

Tv dont come on

Sounds like the typical power surge created by the outage has caused a power supply problem inside your TV. IF that is it, there not much you can do yourself.
