You need to replace the power supply board. The new ones have a bigger heat sink - obviously JVC knows about the problem because they made the new ones bigger. It cost $250 from JVC and I installed it myself - took about 3 hours to do. If you are not tech savvy call a repairman. Hope this helps.

Problems streaming Netflix movies Continuously

There are a few things you can check. Mostly it is about how much demand you are using versus the service, and hardware you use, to provide it within your home.
The service level (bandwidth) is what you have purchased. This is a maximum and can go down considerably depending on time of day and who your provider is.
Do you have other users putting demand on your internet service - this may include neighbours who could be using your wireless internet if you do not have security turned on (ie password protected). Also if you have a lot of users, your wireless router may need to be upgraded to cope with the demand properly.
Is your tv wireless? This requires a good signal - if your router is far away within the house or buried behind heavy materials it may not be able to provide a 'fast enough' connection to your tv to stream your videos.
Netflix has 3 quality settings you can choose - if you have a lower internet service, the highest quality MAY be too much, especially if there are other users at the same time. Usually a 5 or 6 meg service can be at threshold for the highest quality setting depending on the 'actual' speed of your service at a given time.
To keep yourself happy while you resolve this, choose a lower quality setting on netflix - this should allow you to watch without it buffering all the time.
So what has changed since you got your tv? If the setup is all the same, then maybe you have more users. Check your security on your router. Has anything been moved? If so there is opportunity for cables to have been damages (or bad connectors) and also signal loss.
If you have a slower service, perhaps demand in your area at certain times is lowering your service enough to caused buffering issues.

Streaming with DishNetwork

There is a difference in the PPV movies and the On Demand movies. You can only watch the PPV movies at certain times. If you purchase them and it has already started, you will not be able to watch it until the next start time. Or any start time thereafter for a period of 24 hrs.

I have Dish 322 receiver. Everything was fine; a week or so ago satellite 119 reception was spotty, now we can't get 119 at all. We get 110 but only about 34%. Sometimes the receiver will power itself off...

hartpark

It looks like you have lost the signal for the 119 satellite from your dish. Are you getting an error message, either 002 or 015, saying the satellite signal has been lost or acquiring satellite signal? First, check the cables on the back of the receiver to make sure they are secure. You can also run a check switch test to see if there is a problem between your dish and receiver.

Press the Menu button on your remote. This will bring up the Main Menu on your TV screen. Input the numbers: 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 1 (Point Dish). On the right side of the Point Dish screen are 3 buttons. Select the Check Switch button. Within the 2 large boxes are satellite numbers and green or red boxes. Make a note of the satellite numbers (should be 119, 110), the trans, the device, and switch. Super dish and alternate should not be checked. Select the Test button on the bottom of the screen. If a box pops up with a warning about TV 2, select Yes. It will now run the check switch test. Let it complete the test. After completion, the screen will automatically go back to the Installation Summary screen. You may get a message stating that the Check Switch test has found fewer satellites than previously detected. If you get this message cancel out of each screen (do not save the results) till you are back to the TV screen and it is acquiring Satellite signal.

If you don't get that error message, see if the information on the Installation Summary has changed. Then select Done on the next 2 screens and cancel out of the others till you get the message, Acquiring Satellite Signal. After it finishes acquiring satellite signal and downloads the program guide, see if you are getting a picture - try different channels. If you still have problems, please email me at, [email protected] If you are still experiencing problems, we will need to send a technician to fix the problem.

DISH on Demand (also known as Video on Demand) is available to DISH Network customers with certain receiver models. Movies are downloaded automatically to the hard drive of the receiver, giving you the choice of which movies you would like to watch. I have provided a link to our Website, www.dishnetwork.com, with the requirements and movies available. I hope this helps.

CABLE BOX HDDVR IT's NOT WORKING WITH HDM1 in put. I have to use av1 source with 3 wire cable. Comcast tech saying it is tv problem.

Hello,
I am not with Comcast, but rather a much smaller family owned cable company.
You can check the user settings of the box to verify it is in the HDMI mode. Depending on what type of HDDVR you have that is.

For Motorola 62XX and 64XX models follow these steps to check.

1. make sure that your HDMI cable is connected to both the TV and the cable box.
2. Turn TV on, and verify it is on the proper input.
3. Turn cable box off.
4. Press menu button on remote or front of cable box.
5. A user settings menu will appear on the screen.
Note: if it did not appear you may have to connect another type of cables to continue.
6. Information displayed should be set to what your TV set is capable of. Most HDTV's will be set to the following:
16:9
1080i
480i
7. If you see additional HDMI settings as the forth item your TV and cable box are communicating across it, if not try unplugging both the TV and cable box and/or replacing the HDMI cable. Enter the additional settings by pressing the right arrow on the remote.
8. Change DVI to HDMI.
9. Press power to exit the user settings menu.
10. Turn cable box on, and switch TV to HDMI input if not already on it and see if the picture is coming in now.

Note: if you think that you messed up in the user settings you can always restore default settings by following steps 1 through 4 then press up arrow once and right arrow once.

I hope this helps you cable customers, as we appreciate your business unlike Dish and Direct!

Cheers!

Hi bsschachtwhen ordering a Video On Demand movies are downloaded overnight via satellitewhen the receiver is in standby mode, so when renting movies are available fora 24 hour period and can be watched as many times as you like. In your case with themovie you ordered; if there were "parental controls" that are enabled it will not show themovie. MikeHouston of DISH Network

Help Me!

My tv has several video inputs & this is the way I did mine. I ran the red, white & yellow cable from the dish box to "video 1" on the tv. For the Magnavox I ran a coax cable from the dish receiver out to the rear of the Magnavox & the red, white, yellow from the magnavox to the tv "video 2". Check the dish box to see if the switch in the back reads channel 3 or 4 & set your magnavox to the same. Make sure in the setup you have it set to rear connections. If you have picture on both video settings on the tv everything is golden. Hope this helps.
