JVC 52 " Rear Projection TV Blinking Lights and no Picture

The TV has been fine up till i set up the cable box to download movies Dish Video on Demand, within 6 hrs of this addition the TV will start to warm, as to turn on than all of the sudden it clicks and the lights blink in the front and the TV does not turn, no lamp, just flashing lights. Please advise.

You need to replace the power supply board. The new ones have a bigger heat sink - obviously JVC knows about the problem because they made the new ones bigger. It cost $250 from JVC and I installed it myself - took about 3 hours to do. If you are not tech savvy call a repairman. Hope this helps.

How to hook at&t uverse cable box

If set works with games etc via rear audio/video jacks do the same with cable----get a cable box with audio/video etc outputs on it and go from them to ones on the rear of set----no coax connection needed and a better picture.

Reset All Settings *Back to factory*

Unplugs everythings like all those cables boxes and the tv also,replugs the tv and those cable boxes,like Time Warner,Telecoms companies Veizon,AT&T,Dish Network,Direct tv boxes about an hour later.Let those boxes updates it softwares.Go in ur tv menu.Go to the menu selection PICTURE,go down select reset.That should reset the incomming broast Tuner board in the tv.Go to tv menu AUDIO,go down to reset.That should reset the audio setting.Now all those boxes have it updates softwares,and the tv reset it back to the factory setting.Now go to tv menu,go to SETUP,go down to CH. setup pick CABLE not AIR.Now the tv will go into scan modes to pick all those cable channels incomming broscast that ur pay for.

Rear proj TV picture keeps blinking out

comon sony problem Sony has and Ik circuit tha is suppose to not allow video in there is an uneven emission from the crts what you have on both sets the tube are getting so weak causing the circuit to kick in and out in other word you need crts inboth set and they are not avail new you can have them rebuild but the set will never look good again time to retire them

My JVC HD-56G786 will not work with HDMI cable. when I connect the HDMI cable I get a green screen. Any ideas would be great.

I had the same problem with my JVC projection tv. It would flash green, then go to regular picture then back to green flashes. Not sure if this is the solution you were looking for, but I was able to get a good crisp picture using composite cables instead of the HDMI cable.

Distortion at the outher left an right positions? approx 2" each side

If it's an HCP4752W it's a 47" but what's the problem it's having cables or dish box?? No picture, no sound, poor reception, please elaborate.

You need a audio cable for sound. HDMI cable is only for picture. I use the comp 1 plugs myself, better picture. I found with my TV that the HDMI cable is only good if you have a digital box for it. You can also use the plug to hook your computer to off your graphics card and watch downloaded movies on.

Picture "blip" every 1-2 seconds

Try unplugging the Dish box for a minute, then plug back in, is the program guide blippy?
