My Crosley side-by-side frig/freezer has hot spots on the outside. The outside of the freezer is hot as is the wall between the freezer/frig. But everything on the inside is fine. What does that mean?

That seem to me like it could bea simple cleaning. Dust and junk gets into the condenser. Blow that ****** out and party on. I have your models service manual on my foggy blog
check with dealer or company regarding frig in back panel.side always become hot due to inbuilt condenser.place in such a way that front and both the side facing to open area.do not face to wall either of the side.back panel towards the wall will do
This is normal. The condenser coils on freezers are typically located in the walls.
The refrigerator in your kitchen has condenser coils that are hot either under the frig or on the back. Freezers do not need as much heat transfer on the coils with the air so they put them in the walls, it is called a warm wall condenser. It may even feel hot to the touch if you happen to feel it near the end of a cooling cycle. It will be the warmest close to the compressor and cool off at it makes it around the cabinet down to the other side.
Make sure the condenser fan underneath the unit where the compressor is is running. If that's not it check for ice buildup behind the back wall inside the freezer .(defrost problem)
not supposed to be hot to touch, try pulling out refrig and vaccuming the coils, your probably FULL of dust and debris, also remove the kickplate from front and clean under there as well
hi tanks for the question there are heaters at the spots you said were hot and those heaters are there to prevent moist air from hitting cold surface and create warer droplets from forming on those surfaces i would remove the back of the fridge and vacuum it out that should solve your problem thanks the appliance doc
it is normal to the fridge to be hot of the side edge panel it is to prevent moisture around gasket. cluster pipe of condeser routed around instead to install elec. heater. its to hot from the start of applying power but once it reach lower temp it will be warmed and normal.
