How do I set the clock on the onix plu52650 clock radio .

Hi,

Please call Onix to request that another manual be emailed to you. They should be able to do this for you for free as it's a digital version of the manual.

Thank you.

Www.lacrossetechnology.com/8248 need to reset time!

I'm not totally sure what you mean by "reset the time" because the unit normally sets the time automatically from the WWVB radio time signal. If you want to do it manually, this is what the Instruction Manual (PDF format) says:

MANUAL TIME SETTING

In case the atomic clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock.

  1. The hour digits will start flashing in the upper LCD.
  2. Select the desired hours by pressing and releasing the + key.
  3. Press and release the SET key to advance to the minutes setting.
  4. Now the minute digits will start flashing.
  5. Select the desired minutes by pressing and releasing the + key. If the + key is held, the units
    will increase by 5.
  6. Press and release the SET key to confirm the Time setting and continue to the Year setting.

I got the clock from my daughter and have no manual. I keep setting the time, and it keeps changing to 2 hours earlier. I think I've pretty much figured out everything else, though this is NOT intuitive.

Hi, your clock radio is an atomic clock radio... no wait you don't need your lead underwear! it receives a signal from the atomic clock and sets the time to match it, after you set the time zone and put it on auto dst you will never have to set the time again!

ENVIRONMENTAL RECEPTION EFFECTS:

The Atomic Clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to, the following circumstances:

  • Long transmitting distance.
  • Nearby mountains and valleys.
  • Among tall buildings.
  • Near railway, high voltage cable, etc.
  • Near freeway, airport, etc.
  • Near construction site.
  • Inside concrete buildings.
  • Near electrical appliances.
  • Near computers and televisions.
  • Bad weather locally or electrical storms between you and Colorado.
  • Inside moving vehicles.
  • Nearby metallic structures.

LOCATION PRECAUTIONS:

This clock receives a radio wave much like a TV or radio. Be sure to locate it near a window or some other location where reception is good. Avoid the following locations, which can interfere with proper reception.

Synchronization signal reception can be received in Continental USA only. In other areas, you can still use this clock by making time settings manually.

QUICKSTART

  1. Place your clock in a location with optimal signal marks on the LCD.
  2. It is recommended to put the clock near a window. Please move the clock to another location if difficulty in signal reception or unstable signal marks is encountered.

Installation
Simply plug the SkyScan clock radio into any household outlet.

Battery Back-up Operation
This clock radio is equipped with alarm time memory that can be powered with a 9-volt battery (not included). When normal household power is interrupted, or the AC cord is unplugged, the battery will power the clock to keep track of the time and set alarm. When the backup battery activates, the LCD backlight is off, however, the functions of alarm and radio still operate.

To Install the Battery
  1. Remove the battery cover at the bottom of the case.
  2. Connect a 9-volt battery to the connector plug.
  3. Insert the battery in the compartment and replace the cover.
Note: An Alkaline battery is recommended. Carbon Zinc and rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries not recommended.

Set the Time Zone Press the SET button in sequence until you see PST(Pacific Standard Time)blinking below the time digits on the LCD. Press UP or DOWN button to select your time zone.

Daylight Savings Time
Always slide the DST switch to ON position unless the clock is used in an area without Daylight Savings Time.
**Special attention to usage in Arizona and Indiana. **Arizona and parts of Indiana do not recognize Daylight Savings Time (DST). Turn the DST off if the clock is used in these areas.

Cheers!

Changing the time

you can go to http://www2.oregonscientific.com/assets/manuals2/bar338pa.pdf to see or print the user's manual.

If you don't want to get the manual, here's what you do to fix it. . . . .
*note: you need to do this anytime you change the batteries.

1) open the battery cover
2) on the left side you'll see 3 little buttons labeled a)zone, b)C/F c)reset
3) push the reset
4)push the zone button until your time zone is highlighted on the front display
5) look at the front display & if you see a blinking "radio signal" icon at upper left of time numerals
don't do anything else. The time, date, etc. will automatically synchronize your clock with the US Atomic Clock. This could take up to 10 minutes. As long as the "radio signal" icon is blinking, it's working on it. When the icon doesnt' blink, it's set. Cool, huh?
6) if the area you live in can't receive the signal from the Atomic Clock, instead of a blinking "radio signal", you'll see just a bare antennae. Since you probably set your clock manually, that's what it shows now before you do anything.
7) after you push reset & set the time zone do NOT touch any other buttons to set anything!!! (I know it's difficult to leave things alone, but just sit on your hands). Pushing the "clock" button or the up & down arrows will stop the radio signal & change to manual functions. Look at the signal icon mentioned in 5) and 6) above. If you only have the bare antennae icon. . . . . go ahead & set the time/date yourself. You have no signal.

Enjoy your clock!
