Are you sure that it is the remote and not the receiver
test the remote by turning the camera on your phone and face the remote to the camera lens
there will appear a dot on the screen if the remote is working at the point of the lens of the remote

as I said test the remote with the phone camera
for each button pressed on the remote a dot will appear on the screen
If there is not dot for a particular button then that button is not working and a new remote would be in order
however the cost of a new remote would be a waste if the receiver was not responding to the signal
