Hi, Why not contact your room mate and get the password from him? In the meantime, if you are looking for access to the Internet for free, most Council Libraries offer internet access at no charge to card holders.

Well, first of all, if your roommate wanted you to have access to his Internet, he probably would have provided you with the security passcode to allow you to connect. That said, there IS a default password for Belkin routers, but it requires you to force a factory reset to get to it. That will wipe all of the setting internal to the router and result in loss of connection. Unless you know all the details of his connection from the ISP, you are pretty much up the creek either way......

SOURCE: WRT54G, unable to install router

  • Since you have Internet connectivity through the router using a direct connection to the router, then you just need to access the router's setup page and re-configure wireless.
  • But first, check if the wireless light is on in the router.
  • Then, using a computer that is wired to the router, launch IE and type 192.168.1.1 on the address field.
  • It will then ask for the password. By default it is admin. Just click ok and it will lead you to the setup page of the router.
  • Then, on the menu click Wireless. Look for wireless network name or SSID. That is the name of your wireless network. By default it is set to "linksys". You may change it to a uniqune name and then save the settings.
  • Then, if you want to enable security in your Wireless network, click on Wireless Security.
  • Set security mode to WPA Personal and create your network key. It should be atleast 8 characters.
Hope this helps!

Did you install the Cisco connect software on your main computer. If you have installed the Cisco connect softwrae then you will find the Guest network access password . Otherwise you will need to access the router setup page and check the wireless settings.

What is the password for a belkin router F9K1123v2

If you are asking what the default credentials are to log into the admin panel of the router, then the options are below.

Default usernames: admin, Admin, [blank]
Default passwords: admin, password, [blank]

If you are asking for the Wi-Fi password, that is unique to the user who initially set it up. You can reset the router but following the manufacturer instructions and holding the reset button down in the back. This will erase all settings on the router.

Belkin router

The encryption (password) code is configured in the router's wireless settings.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. Setting up a belkin n wireless router. How do I

You have to go into the setup for the router. Most default to the 192.168.1.1 IP address. You would type that address into your internet browser and hit enter. Then you will be asked for a name and password. If you have your belkin manual it will tell you the default name and password. Once in the settings you can change the password. You can also turn off SSID broadcasting, enable the highest level of security that your particular router supports in conjunction with your computer and enable MAC authentication. If you enable MAC authentication you have to type in the MAC address for each device you wish to have access to the router.

PS3 cant go online with Belkin N150 (I think) wireless router

You need to disable the UPnP function on the Belkin router. Log into the router(192.168.2.1), and look under System Settings for the UPnP function and disable it. If you haven't changed the password on the router, the default password is blank, i.e., no password.
