Well, first of all, if your roommate wanted you to have access to his Internet, he probably would have provided you with the security passcode to allow you to connect. That said, there IS a default password for Belkin routers, but it requires you to force a factory reset to get to it. That will wipe all of the setting internal to the router and result in loss of connection. Unless you know all the details of his connection from the ISP, you are pretty much up the creek either way......

Try the manual method.connect router to pc with ethernet cable
1.logon to 192.168.0.1
2.Connection type ; PPPOE
3.type in your username@ISp and pass
4.Save settings
5.Configure wireless setting(SSID,Wep)
Configure pc with the same SSID and WEP
uplug the ethernet cable and check if your are able t connect wireless

Try geting a routher that featres wirless and eathernet so you do not have to have two boxes. You will have to know its ip adress enter it internet explore and then you will be able to protect it through there.

Did you install the Cisco connect software on your main computer. If you have installed the Cisco connect softwrae then you will find the Guest network access password . Otherwise you will need to access the router setup page and check the wireless settings.
