Sorry but normally after something like that you can try to see if you can get it repaird by the maker of it or just get a new tablet.

Jillian, Check warranty, I beleive should be one year, call manufacturer right away if under warranty. Option 2 Have charger port replaced at a computer/cell phone repair shop. Check links below and see how they fixed this issue.
