How do i set my camera to take a photo by it self after a few seconds

You want to set the Self-Timer ... to delay the shot, say, by 2, 5, 10 (or a specified number of) seconds, assuming your camera (model) has that feature/capability. Which camera (model) do you have ?

How do I set the self timer on the Samsung S730 camera?

Press the self-timer button (right-arrow on the circular multiselector) until the desired mode shows on the monitor. Your choices are 2 seconds, 10 seconds, and double. Press the shutter release button to start the timer.

Full details are in the "Self-timer/Right button" section in the manual, page 27 in the edition on Samsung's web site at

My Samsung L100 Camera doesn't know how to flash once!

Most cameras flash twice; the first one is for setting the exposure, the second one is for real. About the best you can do is warn your targets that the camera is going to flash twice.

Yes, the L100 has a self-timer. Press Right on the selector (the clock icon) until the desired mode indicator appears on the display. Your choices are 10-second delay, 2-second delay, double self-timer, and motion timer.

The self-timer is described on pages 29-30 in my copy of the manual.

Describe how to use the self timer on the samsung S830 digital camera

Make sure you're in a recording mode other than VOICE.

Press the Self-Timer button (right button) until the display shows the desired mode. Your choices are 10-second mode (the camera takes a picture ten seconds after you press the shutter button), 2-second mode (the camera takes a picture two seconds after you press the shutter button), and Double-self-timer (the camera takes a picture ten seconds after you press the shutter button, then takes another two seconds later).

You can cancel the self-timer mode by pressing the Self-Timer button again.

The 10-second mode allows you to run back for a group picture. The 2-second mode is useful when you want to take a picture without fear of camera shake; simply place the camera on a steady support such as a tripod. The Double mode increases the chances of getting a picture with everybody's eyes open.

I have a Samsung d73 Digimax and would like to know whether this has a self-timer function and if so, how does one use it?

No problem! Like all Samsung Digimax cameras, the self-timer is located by pressing the round navigation key once to the right/East/3 o'clock (it has a picture of a clock engraved on it). Pressing once gives a 10 second timer, twice gives a 25 second timer and the third press gives a multiple-burst self-timer whilst the fourth press will de-activate all timer functions. After selecting the appropriate self timer, depress the shutter button to activate.
I hope that this helps!

How to use selftimer on Samsung S630

Hey hpnotiq_babe,
Directions on how to set the self timer on this camera are on page 27 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. I have copied the instructions on how to set the self timer on your camera below. I hope this helps!

mode.
2. Press the SELF-TIMER button until the desired
mode indicator displays on the LCD monitor.
A 10 second, 2 second or double self-timer icon
appears on the LCD monitor. In Movie Clip mode,
only the 10-second self-timer will work.
•2SEC self-timer ( )
: Pressing the shutter button will allow an
interval of 2 seconds before the image is
taken.

interval of 10 seconds before the image is taken.
