Remove the upper thread. RAISE the presser foot and re-thread from the beginning. This allows the thread to seat properly in the tension disk. Set the tension to the midway point between high & low number and re-test. You may need to tweak the upper tension, but this should take care of the problem. If not, take it for service because the something may be defective with the tension mechanism.
