How to fix my Toshiba tablets off and on button

Linda, if it is the charge port, mini USB, yes they can be fixed or replaced by cell phone/computer repair shop.

There are certain reasons which does not allow tablet to turn on
Maybe the connecting wire of Tablet and its PCB. I am referring this video, it might help you

The solution is a factory reset....I know you have done this but did you follow these instructions?

1.Make sure the tablet is off and not in standby.
2.Hold down the 'Volume Up' and 'Power' buttons simultaneously until the two Android icons appear.
3.Use the volume buttons to select the white box on the right.
4.Once selected, press the power button.
5.Use the volume buttons to select 'wipe cache partition' and then press the power button.
6.Select 'Yes' and press the power button.
7.Use the volume buttons to select 'wipe data/factory reset' and then press the power button.
8.Select 'Yes' and press the power button.
9.The tablet will now reset.

Notification option may over ride in some tablets.
Do cold restart of the device to hear startup sound.
I would also consider verifying the latest firmware.

Most likely it is dead. If you tried a real factory reset, then just look for another tablet. Toshiba is not going to help you as, from my experience, they do not care after they sell you the prodcut and it gets out of warranty.

Consider Samsung.

You need to press the button for a few seconds, when you see the logo appears then move your hand. Or it may no battery, charge it and later try again. If there are problems of it, it's better to contact Toshiba for help.

Android 4.0 Tablet PC

If your computer is still under warranty you can contact the Toshiba support site and order recovery media. They will refer you to the company that sells them. The cost is about 45 dollars + taxes.
Even if your computer is no longer under warranty you may still be able to obtain the recovery medias.

Failing that, you may consider buying a retail version of the Windows Operating system and install it on the computer. Some custom buttons may not work, and you will have to go to the Toshiba support web site to download the drivers for your computer. Before buying a version of Windows, check the Toshiba site for your computer and your intented OS (WinXP 32/64, Vista 32/64, or Win 7 32/64) )to see if they have drivers.
