Hi forgotalot, I want to help you with your question, Are you using the genuine Ink Cartridges?

  • forgotalot Apr 18, 2016

    Yes all inks are OEM.
Not all printing is blurred. Just some, no particular pattern (ie: some lines are blurred fully and some are partial and some not at all

MY 89 4X4 BLAZER BACKFIRES IN THE ENGINE HOW DO I FIX THIS

The backfire could be a problem with the distributor cap or plug wires, or lack of fuel. The cap or wires could get damp and short out until the engine gets hot.
The fuel pressure could be low or not steady until the engine warms up.

When I print, the paper has horizontal lines all the way through were any text is. It printed fine this weekend and now this.

Ink jets do this sometimes, and need some simple maintenance, such as a cleaning or alignment of your print head.

Within your printer option should be a setting to clean and or align (or something intuitive along these lines). Complete this, and you should be good to go.

If this has helped please give me the appropriate 'thumbs up' for the assistance. Thanks, and good luck!

When printing lines are running through the sentences.I have a brother mfc440cn printer

I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".

This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.

Good Luck

Replaced magenta ink, but prints with brown tint . All other cartridges are full.

I had one of these!
Are you using ORIGINAL brother Ink or 3rd party? I've had trouble with "compatible" inks on this and other printers, laser toners aren't as bad though.

If it sat without ink for more than a week or so, you may have a clogged printhead. Try running the cleaning & print test functions a few times, sometimes things get messed up when the ink runs out.

I had to clean ours, we have 4 cats & the hair to prove it. It was a cluster%$^& to do - it's basically a throw away printer when warranty's up! Not a DIY job to do right (lots of stuff to break or lose along the way) & I'm factory trained on several (non-brother) printers. Great little printer for the money when it works, normal daily cleaning process drinks ink like soda pop even sitting though.
Good luck with it,

My ESP3 keeps printing out my pictures in pink , there's plenty of ink in the cartridges, but it only registers them as half full

Makje sure you run an ink nozzle clean regularly, when printers are turned off ink tends to soidify and block the jets ( no one tells you this) nut printers should be left on to ensure against this. EPSON printers used to do this a lot and completely clog after 36 hrs, so over a weekend you were lucky if anything printed on monday and the printer became a write off after a few months. We found by trial and error and at grreat cost to leave them on to keep ink warm and in a more liquid state.

HP k5400 KY printhead always reports bad on Monday morning

Remove the Printhead and clean the contacts on the back of the printhead and also in the where the printhead mounts.
Try leaving the printer turned on over the weekend as the fault maybe caused by the ink drying out.

The black print don't work

ok you need to take out the inks then remove the print head it just comes out once the inks are taken out, get some windex and clean the bottom off the print head with a fine lint free cloth spray the windex on the rag then clean the print head, also if its really bad spray windex into the where the inks also sit give it a good squirt let it sits for a few minutes then wipe it out, make sure you DONOT touch the gold bits on the printhead. refit to machine do a head clean on the driver should work fine.

My printer has worked excellently for 6 years. I replaced both b/w and colour cartridges before Christmas and both worked well until last weekend when the printer simply informed me the incorrect colour...

Turn printer off, unplug and let sit for a bit. Plug back up and power on. Try running a ink or printehead cleaning and or calibration from the menu or settings button on the printer.

H/P C6180 black not printing

Had the same problem for weeks. Had to go thru all three levels of print head cleaning in the HP Toolbox menu to get black to work again. The head cleaning option on the printer itself was insufficient. Unless you've already gone thru all three cleaning levels this may be worth a try.

I walked thru the steps via the HP website FAQs for the 6180. Basically: Open the HP Solution Center, select Settings->Print Settings->Printer Toolbox, then click Clean the Printheads. After the first cleaning you'll be asked if the test page printed OK (mine didn't), click the Intermediate Cleaning box. You'll be asked again if the test page printed OK (mine did, but an independent MSWord print test was still streaky), click the clean again (sorry, don't remember what this one was called) for the third and deepest clean.

This last one worked for me, now it's back to normal printing. From what the HP website says I'm guessing that my black print head was dried up. That's a reasonable explanation for my situation, we had let the black sit dormant for a couple of weeks after the black cartridge ran out before we tried to install a replacement.

Hope this helps, sure was frustrating for me. Good luck.
