Ok, but now, I have inserted new cartridges. Still the printer doesn't print. What can I do to get the printer to print ? Can this printer be repaired or will I have to buy a new printer ?

How to hook up a turntable to the Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K 7.1-Channel A/V Receiver

Different cartridges put out various levels based upon their technology - make sure you are using the proper input for their output. A line level input 1V P-P won't work on most phono cartridges and will require a preamp to boost it to the higher level.
On a surround sound receiver, you should look for an unused input with RCA jacks and just use the Red and White leaving the Yellow/Video unused.

Check ink cartridge on right

Yes - if they are not used they will dry up and be unusable.
Unfortunate but you need to replace them.
For future ref - IF they will not be used in 4 - 6 months
pop them out and put scotch tape on the head where ink comes out
and that should keep them good for several months..
I have done that and close to a year later - was fine.
Hope this helps :)

Many people apparently have had success with taking out their cartridges and storing them in a tightly sealed plastic bag along with a moist paper towel.

We have an ink refill from Cartridge World for an unused Lexmark X2690. Even though the ink cartridge is full, the computer tells us it is empty. It will not even send paper through the printer to...

I own a Cartridge World store and I tell our customers when they purchase this refill that I cannot test the electronics on the cartridge to ensure that it will work. I tell them if they take it home and it doesn't work I will give them a full refund. You need to go back to the store your purchased this cartridge from and request your money back. Unfortunately you have purchased a printer that takes cartridges that our test printer cannot test the electronics or print test.
