If your talking about an mp3 player, then it depends, whether your using USB or an SD card, you did not clarify the question enough. If you are using a USB, make sure you are dragging the song onto the player, if using SD card, make sure you drag the song onto the card, then fully clicking it inside of the system.
I expected to find the new playlists on the SD card as a separate file to access and play. Instead the SD card songs show on up the Sansa menu simply added among the existing songs / artists stored in the Sansa. Its not a solution but they are there. Since using the SD card, my Sansa does databse refresh everytime it starts, whether SD card is in it or not.
Ok, I figured it out. Well, ok, maybe I didn't figure it out, but I did solve the problem -- by making sure everything on the SD card was backed up, and then reformatting it. Then I put all my MP3's back into the "my_music" folder on the card, and it all showed up on the phone -- finally!
I recently added four songs to my sd card and put it back in the garmin gps. They would not show up in the list of songs. The little tab on the side of the sd card must be in the down position. That solved my problem.
Try updating the firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/).
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it
off, remove the battery and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the
USB port, then update the firmware.
