Why is my Sharp PG-D2510X Projector keep saying that there is no signal? It worked up until yesterday.

I have always used the same laptop to connect and have only had a problem starting today. I tried two different VGA cables, two different computers, and both Computer 1 input and changed Computer 2 to input and none of these worked. My computer changes to duplicate screen and it sounds like it connects but the projector says no signal.

Check both input selections on your computer and your projector. They both need to be set on the same input to work. For example, if the computer is set at 1080 and the projector is set on 720, it wont work. They need to match. Good luck!

Hooking up projector to laptop with only HDMI port

The PG-F320W has a DVI-I port between the VGA/Component input and the VGA output. You will need an HDMI to DVI cable or a HDMI to DVI adapter and either an HDMI or a DVI cable. If you use the audio input of the projector, you will also need the audio cable between the computer and the projector. (Make sure to disable the HDMI as the audio playback device. In Windows, go to the Hardware and Sound Control Panel. Then go down to Sound and Manage Audio Devices. Click on the Playback tab and check your output device. Click on Start for Windows 7 and earlier, Windows Key + X for Windows 8. Then select Control Panel.)

Monoprice.com has good prices for most cables. The HDMI to DVI cables are here: http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10231 .

The manual for the PG-F320W is available here: http://www.sharp-world.com/products/data_projector/pgf320w/pdf/PGF320W_ex1_en.pdf . See page 21 for the DVI cable connection information. See page 61 for video resolutions that the projector can handle.

I hope this helps.

Sharp Notevision PG-C30XE problem with computer display

There are 3 different types of analog video signal ports on your projector; s-video, composite video, and RGB. Which one of the three are you using to connect your PC to?
The projector's resolution rate is XGA [1024 x 768]
If you are using a VGA cable designed and capable of handling 640 x 480 resolution; then it will not support XGAs 1024 x 768 signal. On the other hand, if the coaxial cable you are using is a multi band one that is capable of supporting VGA and XGA resolution signals, most likely the problem is not with the cable- although I have come across brand new cables that are defective.
Please let me know if this helps or else we'll try another approach :)

I am trying to hook my notevision projector to my laptop so that i can show a powerpoint. I did not receive a cord with my projector. Which cords will i need? I received a usb to usb and VGA cord but i...

I tend to use the VGA cable. Once connected, switch the laptop on until you get to the desktop, then switch on the projector. Some will see the signal, if not, simoultaneously press your FN and relevant 'F' key to send the signal out to the VGA. You may need to do this 3 times, once to send to projector, one to send back to laptop screen and then once to send the signal to both projector and laptop screen. Sometimes this can take a short amount of time. You may want to change the projector settings to the VGA input so it doesn't constantly search for a source. If you still have problems, go into properties on your laptop and advanced. you m,ay need to unclick the box saying 'Extend to..........' (You should find what I mean from this, I am in front of a pc therefore the settings are slightly different.)

If nothing then works, it may be your video card.

Good luck

It is more likely to be a problem with the laptop. If the projector comes on fine then it isn't seeing the signal. Maybe check the cables and outputs. It may be a setting in the diplay properties. Or the video card has failed. Good luck

Help Screen says No Signal on Input #2

Adjust the screen resolution down a notch or two in the display preferences. The computer is most likely set at 1280x800 pixels at the High (32bit)color. You may even want to drop the 32bit down to Medium (16bit)

"no signal" message when laptop is plugged into projector

There is a key on the keyboard that has blue text on it. Something to the effect of LCD or CRT. With the monitor connected and turned on, press and hold the FCN KEY as well as the LCD/CRT key. While holding the FCN key keep hitting the CRT key until the image transfers to the external monitor
