When I push the on button after the oven is in "Snooze" mode, the oven starts cooling down instead of heating up . Then when I push the on button again, the screen comes up and says oven ready.

Pushing the Back touch pad will give Snooze option, push it again and the Oven Off comes up. From there you can leave it off to cool down and clean, or push the bottom right pad to turn on,

Jtp45 lower oven hot heating on any cycle

Possibly a tripped thermal fuse. Should be located behind the panel in between the upper and lower ovens. Might have a red reset button on it you can push down. If it clicks and then works again, look for possible cooling fan problems.

I was self cleaning the oven and in the middle of cycle is beeped with the message "over heat error" and stoped the self clean . I pushed the off button and the temperture was 505 and display said cooling...

Sometimes that can happen if the oven was quite dirty. Let it cool down. Then, see inside if there is any junk on the top/bottom/walls of the oven. If so, wipe it down a little with a damp cloth. Then, run the self-cleaning again, it will probably go all the way through.

If that doesn't work, a relay switch that controls to turn off the self-cleaning might be bad.

Good luck.

Hi lost the manual..need to start self cleaning

Hello,

An electric oven is a great oven choice because of the advanced self-cleaning feature often available on certain models. A self-cleaning oven uses high temperatures to clean crusty baking spills and splatters and free its owner from having to use harsh chemicals to clean his oven. The following 4 steps lay out how a self-cleaning oven works.

Step 1 - Setting the Self Cleaning Mode
Depending on the style and brand of oven you own, you start the self-cleaning cycle by setting the oven's operating dial to "Clean," a function that can be as simple as setting a timer knob or pushing one or two buttons.

Step 2 - Cleaning Cycle
Once you have set the self-cleaning cycle, the oven coils-both lower and upper--will begin to heat. These self-cleaning ovens are protected from high oven temperatures damage by heavy insulation installed in their walls and door during the manufacturing process.

Step 3 - Automatic Door Lock
When the oven reaches a pre-determined temperature, the lock on the oven door engages, preventing anyone from opening the door until the oven temperature has cooled.

Step 4 - Removing Residual Ashes
Once the cleaning process is completed, including cooling, you can then remove the residual ash by wiping the bottom oven surface with a damp cloth or sponge.

Hope this helpout

I put in a new switch for the top oven but the convection fan is going on only in cool down mode not on oven mode. it should go on when oven turns on (button up) but goes on when button clicks down (cool...

Door needs to be closed in cook mode to work. You sure you put the switch in the right way up? Also you could have a dodgy door switch as the cook/cool switch and the door switch operate as a two-way circuit.

Westinghouse oven GWH 476 SLP Multifunction. The pilot cones on but not igniting ? no gas getting through

Hi RMSINN,

Believe it or not, the clock has to be set before the oven will light.

To set the clock, instead of using function names for buttons, we'll just call them buttons 1 through 6 going from left to right.

Push buttons 1 and 2 at the same time. You're now in clock setting mode. Push buttons 5 and 6 to make the clock go minus and plus.
Cheers

Some panel in my Neff electric oven is making a loud vibration noise on fan mode. The vibration noise stops if the top part of the front surround (with door open) is pushed in. There is no vibration on...

Update: after using the oven with the grill instead of the fan, the problem sorted itself. With the heating and cooling, obviously some panel had not settled correctly and was causing the vibration. It hasn't happened again so far.

Whirlpool oven accubake system

I have a whirlpool accubake wall oven. Half-way through baking a pie ,unknown to me, the oven went to the self-clean mode , the door locked and the pie started to burn. I tried to turn the oven off but it would not cut off. I immediately ran to the house's main power and turned off the oven breaker. I waited for a short time to let the oven cool enough to open the door and get the burned pie out, then went back to turn my breaker back on and the oven (even though in the off mode) started heating again with the bottom unit turning red again. I had to then go back and pull the power. We tried this several times trying to push the off button but the oven will not go off until we throw the breaker. Help please!

Re: my whirlpool digital oven

The red key sign is a lock against children. To cancel it you have to hold the two buttons at the same time for 5 seconds (you activate it the same way).

The STOP sign appears after the cooker switches of after a power cut. You just have to press the left button, and, using the right knob, set the time.
