There my friend is the problem with using a universal remote control. Luckily you probably can search google for the model number on your universal + remote control codes or "manual" and you'll probably find what you are looking for.
If you find this process frustrating, you could also try to find your original blu ray remote control at a site like RemoteControlHookup.com.

I don't think that your DVD is made by Dolby, so the first step will be to find out who manufactured your unit. Sony makes a model 802, so if that is correct, then one of these codes should work: 1396, 0987, 0988, 0989, 0399, 0986, or 0389.

Just about any universal remote should work on just about any player. That is the great thing about universal remotes. All you need is the correct code to control your dvd player. there are two ways to unlock it.first is using the remote. the other is by opening your unit up and manually open the cd tray, then power on.if not, buying a universal remote won't help either, but bring it to a tech is the last option.
