To very suddenly stop charging. Don't think it's the charger as it works well with other phones My phone will no longer charge up

Those batteries are not chargable. I think you need AAA NiMH rechargeable standard batteries. You can get them at Walmart, Radio Shack and many other stores. If you have the owners manual for the phones it will have information about the batteries.

Please be reminded that brand new phones or newly purchased phones should be charged around 8 straight hours because the battery is definitely drained.
I would highly suggest you to charge the battery for 8 straight hours and try to open your phone if it work.
Now, if you still encounter the same issue. It would be best if you bring the [hone to the nearest service center since it is still covered with warranty.

You will need your deposit # (if you don't have it call customer service)
If you have the deposit # then enter as follows & be certain to pause between each entry:

61*
enter your deposit #
**
30
#
send (as in making a call)

This will increase rings to 5 or 6 which is the max for Consumer Cellular

Most phone chargers are 5v and use less than 1000ma so MOST phone chargers are pretty universal. I would verify the voltage and the milliamps from the broken charger but most tablet and\or USB type B end cables are USER friendly.
